Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
.........
Wonder if they would chance the 3 arena after 4 olympia sellouts? probably that galway airport though.
Deacon Blue in Collins Barracks, August 23rd.
Saw Doctors with an Irish gig announcement for tomorrow morning
I get this as the difference between a cheap seat view and a good seat view in the west End is quite drastic....
A couple of metres on a pitch though? For 50 cuid? Not having it.......
10 euro for separate bar and toilet yes I get....
50 for a slightly better view.....people kidding themselves if they think that makes sense from a punters point of view (I get the argument of if was all the same price then yes the GA price will go up slightly)
Great stuff
seen this with green day in marlay as well, €99 in presale for gold circle, currently €135 plus fees, pretty sure was even higher on day of general release
with regards to gold circle pricing i think a tenner is fair, anything more is taking the p1$$; think RHCP in marlay charge €135 vs €89 for their gold circle v gen adm in marlay last year
Makes sense. Payday before Xmas.
Golden Circle no longer available in LCD presale. Anyone know if there'll be some available in genpop sale or if this means they're all gone?
I believe Munich stadium have gig announcement tomorrow too so would seem likely
It's such a turn off, even when it's acts I really like. 22 euro last night, up close and personal with BC Camplight and Personal Trainer in Whelan's, both phenomenal. At least you feel you're supporting a venue and acts that need and deserve it and a promoter that's trying to do something interesting.
Radio Nova said major embargoed gig announcement tomorrow at 8am. I wonder is it AC/DC, lot of speculation about it being announced soon

Grim yep
That's dynamic pricing finally showing up in our market. I got mine for 155.
"Ticket prices may fluctuate, based on demand, at any time."
Ugh.
Not anymore. €263 inc fees
Can blame Taylor Swift, Adele and a few others for the cost increases in vinyl. They're printing money shilling them to gullible fans and driving production costs up.
I say shilling as TS in particular releases multiple colour variants of albums which fans buy without even having a vinyl player.
They were €155 not €250 for golden circle.
Yeah. You'll pay more for the good seats on Broadway, West End, footie matches, courtside at the Lakers etc. If anything we've done well for it to take this long to hit music like this.
250 quid tho!
That's their dynamic pricing, based on demand, blah blah blah. Originally, P!nk Gold Circle tickets were €166.75.
The first time I saw this happening on the day was for Depeche Mode in the 3Arena, when they went on sale in July. The standing tickets initially went on sale for €97 and within a few hours, they were €155. That wasn't Platinum or VIP; that was the price.
It's not the distance with Malahide, it's the volume of traffic, narrow roads. Getting in and out very problematic.
And realistically if they just charged a flat fee for those special areas they Artist/agent would just increase the Ga price to ensure they get same amount of money as they would for dividing the pitch into more expensive areas.
and charging more for better views is the norm in the entertainment industry.
One of two people on here were complaining the opposite, that Bruce/aiken charging flat fee for seats at Croker is annoying.
For malahide, st Anne’s, marlay, Kilmainham etc it was €10 difference this year. and I was specifically talking about a malahide show for next year
Its 50 cheaper to be on the normal pitch, 50 quid cheaper gain to be at the very back seats etc. Make your peace with it, its the norm now.
Golden circle tickets for Pink seem to be 250 quid? Think thats the most expensive Ive seen in Ireland. Babs aside.
I get artists have to make money......put 50 euro to be closer to stage is money gouging
Acts have to make their money from somewhere. No one buys music anymore. A bit of vinyl aside. Spotify is basically streaming Napster.
Saw this earlier. Not gig related but 50 quid, FIFTY, for an album you can pick up second hand for 1 euro elsewhere.
Thats a pisstake
€10????
It's €50 difference for Pink which is absolutely absurd and I expect the price gap between general standing and Golden Circle to widen at non stadium events too.
Yep to be fair kilmainham I'd probably pay it. But malahide/marlay nope
golden circle already gone in presale ?
Yep, the Kilmainham setup were perfect. Much smaller queue for bar and toilets and they were close by.
Definitely worth the extra tenner
