Ukraine has made more progress since the start of this war in the fight against corruption (and possibly because of it, as it has given Zelensky much more power than he would have in ordinary times) that Russia will ever achieve because it's so interwoven into Russian society. Its Russian Corruption which is the cause of all its misadventures.
Ridding corruption in Ukraine would be like one of those reality TV programmes dealing with hoarders, a never ending pursuit. It will take generations due to spies, malcontents and outside pressures.

Well, the priority now is to eject Putin's murderous bastards from Ukraine, and in doing so, make sure that neither he (Putin) or his successors pose a threat to a developing Ukraine. The next battle will be to reduce corruption and become eligible for EU membership. Once that has been achieved, Ukraine will be well on the way to achieving its goal of becoming a fully functioning independent state in its own right. Slava Ukraine.

What a cocktail: a huge chunk of the male population either gone through death, injury or emigration (leaving aside the lower life expectancy anyway), while presumably the female population has also started emigrating when they can. Even if you bought into the idea of the West as this den of decadence, at least you won't have the shít beaten out of you, or harassed into having children.

It can happen a lot if you only check in on the site periodically. You're a few pages back, reply to a post and then find that subsequent posts render your reply moot.
In the absence of any delete capability, the only option is to replace your post with "..." or "stupid effing vanilla doesn't allow me delete posts" or similar.
