Yer one Anne Marie was painful this evening. Stayed silent while the two lads exchanged ‘bants’ for the first half hour. They only went to her for scripted items. Clearly she doesn’t have the knowledge (or interest?) to keep up with two sport-addicted lads. Plus her voice is gratingly annoying. Have to get rid. Blatantly obvious she’s only there for gender balance. (And nothing against women - their female rugby analyst is excellent; knows her stuff).

Seems to me its €10 a month for a catch up service? If you a regular listener to the radio you're getting most of it.
There is very little you can't listen to live either on radio or the youtube channel. Sunday papers usually only go straight to podcast on days where they have 2 live PL games. Stuff like the rugby pod or the football pod during GAA season are paywalled.

I don't think there is as much of the content on the YouTube channel as their used to be? If there is, then surely €10 a month for YouTube premium would be a better spend!
@left_hander No nothing on demand via youtube, but the morning show is free when streamed live, I think the cut off is 10am. For example I log in at 9am in work and skip back to the start of the show as long as you dont refresh the page after 10am it lets you skip back and forth until you're finished with it.

Infairness, Newstalk promote their own product as a potential Christmas gift on a Newstalk show. Its hardly shocking.

I think criticizing Newstalk for promoting their own product is weird. Of course they're going to do it.

There's f*(k all I get at Christmas that I actually use so if someone wanted to give me free access to OTB for the year I'd take it.
There is some good stuff on there that I enjoy, just not enough for €10 a month.

It was a segment discussing tech gifts for Christmas: laptops, tablets, earbuds, phones and ....... an OTB subscription.

The real way to plug it was to get yourself the laptop/phone/tablet, the earbuds AND and OTB subscription to listen to after that!

The only things I really want to listen back to are the Newsround, A Slight Tangent, The Sunday Paper Review and maybe 1-2 more.
Had the radio on yesterday for the football commentary. Have to say Richie is their best commentator. Very fluent and easy to listen to, not forced, and in his own natural accent
