First official look. More to come on October 4.
Nope nothing here. it's annoyed to be honest. Even a mail to say "Hey it's going to be the 60 days" wouldn go astray
Apparently it can be enabled if you go into developer settings and set your language to Yank English.
Any update on pixel watch 2 promo from anyone 😥
That could be possible. I had my screen become unresponsive as few times and had the black screen. I believe there's a fix for it with the Dec update
No, I keep pressing the "Check for update" button multiple times a day. I dont know why I want it so bad as I assume some of the new Bard functionality will be blocked from use in Ireland for now
I'll take them mate, it's a pretty slippery phone alright. I'll PM you.
I got a Pixel 8 and ended up returning it - I just couldn't deal with the scroll stuttering (the Guardian app literally couldn't scroll from top to bottom without stuttering, which my 4 year s10e had no problem with). So annoying! I think they'll eventually get their own silicon right and I'll be back then.
In the mean time I had ordered 2 Xtremeskin textured skins as the back is so slippery. They are obviously no good to me now so they are free to whoever wants them. I'll post within Ireland. First person to reply gets them both as they are packaged together and will be a pain to separate. PM me afterwards with your address. Why 2? I couldn't make my mind up which colour I wanted!
Not yet and I haven't had an update for the Pixel Watch 2 at all since October 5th.
While discouraged by the sales person, I only topped up by 15e. This only has a 1GB data allowance, but that doesn't matter to me as I was going to put my GoMo sim in anyway.
Total was 614e
So does that mean it was effectively €619 for a non-Three PAYG person? Or could you do a top-up smaller than €20?
Not yet for me anyway
Anyone get the December security update to their P8P?
just to confirm, went into Three and picked one up yesterday. required purchase of topup, device cost 599 and is unlocked.
hoping to head into a 3 shop tomorrow and pick one of these up. 3 questions if ye don't mind:
any info much appreciated.
I got my P8P with Vodafone. And I just check there myself. No sign
Still only €600 from Three
Pixel 8 €610 delivered from Amazon, less if you use Revolut

Yeah still no sign here
Still no sign of the promo PW2 here.
Seems to be rolling out country by country, it seems like everyone in country A has it but not country B kinda ting.
Only in China, wont release in Europe until the New Year, rumoured to be the end of Jan and considering the 11 started at €829 I'm sure the 12 will be very close to that 8 Pro price.
I run the phone account in work from three, the only thing that has ever come locked to a network is iphones.
I have given phones to family and friends on other networks and they have always worked fine, usually Samsungs
Although, looking at the OnePlus 12 due for release next week, this looks a bit more attractive now, and probably not as dear too
So it looks like Three's €919.99 offer is the best out there for a P8P?
Think I'll be pulling the trigger on that later. I'm sure my Vodafone SIM will work :-)
Bought P8 online on Three.ie a few weeks after it launched. It is unlocked.
no clue, she told me that unlocked phones are only Xiaomi and something else
even 3 website says same: "Some smartphone models do not require an unlock code (e.g., Xiaomi, Razer, OnePlus). These devices are already unlocked and will work with any SIM."
Talking out of their hoop I'd say
it was 3 employee
Bought these and very happy with them so far:

See other places that they are not, and that Pixel phones are never locked. Was it a 3 employee that told you that or did you try one?
They are locked to 3, checked yesterday in the shop
Don't get the Spigen Alignmaster anyway - it has a black border around the outside for some unknown reason which fractionally reduces the size of your display at the edges
