Seems like a good few people are buying from inventory at the moment.
Being able to drive away a shiny new Model Y for less than 45K (avaiing of all discounts) is a persuasive argument. Exceptional value with certainty around delivery (and cheap finance also!). When combined it's not surprising that people are buying from Inventory.
I have completed the initial PCP finance with Finance Ireland. They sent me a text saying that I need to contact Tesla for the next steps. I assume I don’t have to actually do anything except wait now?
You just need to be patient now . Nothing more will happen until closer to delivery date (hopefully Q1 2024) at which stage Tesla will be n touch about scheduling a a delivery date. Until then you will just have an Estimated Due Date "EDD" and these "can move" so the emphasis is on "Estimated". Tesla never guarantee dates for custom orders. It is usual to get about 2 weeks notice pre delivery. Enquiries to Tesla in the interim will usually not get more than repeating your EDD and statements that that they will be in touch. Wishing it was different will not advance matters so best to manage expectations.
I was just talking to Tesla and SEAI both and both confirmed its not available for grant. could you confirm how about you went with the installation and got the grant?
I emailed the SEAI & they confirmed the Tesla charger is not covered under the SEAI grant. Apparently there used to be an option for 'other' on the charger type dropdown, which they have removed now.
He got it before it was removed from the list of approved units.
Which chargers are you guys using at the moments to charge your car?
Some of them in the market seem very expensive like 800-1000 euro after grant for supply and fit.
EO. €400 after grant from flogas.
Wallbox. €500ish after grant from ecoplex
OHME the same.
Keep looking is my advice.
She 😉
But yes, I got it approved a few months before it was removed
sorry madam 😁
Serves me right for assuming!
I was just in a Tesla dealer and I was told that there’s a ship coming in around the 15th of January and that’s when the new M3 will start being delivered.
They have the new model 3 on display too, it’s LHD.
Anybody have trouble adding credit card in the app? Postcode keeps saying invalid.
Postcode or eircode?
Try both.
It's asking for post code. I typed in my eircode and it won't work
Sometimes you may just have to add the number. So 7 or 11 or 22 etc
I get that on a few sites nowadays.
Did you try leaving a space after the first 3 characters?
Who is selling their M3 in Jan?
I'm interested to see how many M3 are repeat customers/how many m3 will come on used market
I am, but I don’t have an M3 now.
I am too, hoping to pick up a good usedM3 LR in January
Yeah, tried that.
I am.
Planning to put up my ‘22 M3 in the next few days
if you had to guess when is the best time to get your trade-in value if buying a new model M3 in the new year, so you dont have to get it revalued?
Within 30 days of collection date.
know that .. was essentially trying to guess the collection date range so that the trade in value is in already.
Like if on Jan 10 they tell people collections are Jan 15 (like someone alluded to already ) there may not be enough time to get the trade-in value and essentially you are delaying your own collection. Possible ?
Delaying collection is something you should not assume. Tesla may show a little flexibility but this is only days.. If you can't accept delivery once you are given a slot they will sell to someone else who can and you should assume that demand for the new Model 3 is likely to be high..
Is the site or your account somehow in English UK rather than English Ireland?
So knowing that, people should get their trade-in valuations in good time.
Do it now ?
Thats difficult to answer as shipping of new cars just have Estimated Delivery Dates "EDD" and with Tesla the emphasis is on the "Estimated" . The best and first indication is when you can identify a specific VIN number, which signifies that a specific completed car has been assigned to your order and this usually helps narrow in on actual delivery dates.
