A new thread for a new season! 🍂
Gentle/fine start to Autumn in Greystones.
Nice photos, thanks.
How's volcano getting on, by the way?
Thank you. The situation is stable at the moment but an eruption is still expected soon. Last I heard it was supposed to happen by the end of this week but it seems like it'll be delayed again.
Windy, dry and so dark, barely a peak of daylight yet at 739. Hard to rise everyone in the household for the day; 11⁰ Meath
Great pictures.
Hopefully when you come back to Ireland you will bring the snow with you!
crazy wind in Dublin today, not great for running or being outside! seems to be stripping the last of the leaves from the trees
Ya quite a breeze before the cold spell starts. Today's the last mildest day for a while. We won't be seeing 13c until December sometime id imagine.
🙂 November 2023 just keeps giving, there was even snow on the beach. I am giving it a 9/10 for the moment, it could go even higher depending on how next week goes. I tried my best to limit the number of images in this post but there is still a lot.
Excuse the timing of this post, not to derail the thread but it comes across as tone deaf after reading about what's going on in Dublin.
Ah come on now, this is the weather forum! You can't be expected not to post just because of what went on in Dublin (which is disgraceful obviously).
Pleasant morning in Leitrim after the wind and rain of yesterday. 7C. A little cloudy but very still.
No need to feel guilty for posting. It's lovely to see the beauty of the world now and again rather than the ugly side. Beautiful photos, hopefully we might get some winter wonderlands here for Christmas.
Lovely morning. I am loving this High pressure lately. Great walking weather. There is something magical about walking down rural roads with the half moon shining thru clouds that aren't raining. I especially love it when there is a bit of wind and the clouds are skooting past the moon.
Spending a few days in Stockholm and definitely getting my winter fix. -1 max today and light snow flurries all day, not really sticking in most places. Tomorrow looks a bit heavier and much colder with temps dropping through the day from -3 to about -6 by afternoon.
Oh come on
Wrong thread I'm afraid, this is weather winter wonderland and where away from world problems etc
Beautiful sunrise. First bright day in ages.
-1 Meath
Woke up to a decent covering in Stockholm. A nippy -5 today but calm and the sun is coming out 😍.
Dublin finally had its first air frost of the season this morning. Equal latest on record with 1978.
Fantastic city. Lived there for a while. Recommend the Vasa museum.
Visited yesterday, amazing museum!
Here's to another 78/79 winter 🍺
Hell to the yeah ❄️
looks like it's going to be effin' baltic for the forseeable anyway, for those of you who enjoy that kind of thing. it's kind of nice in dublin even though cold, no wind at all, still af, great for running.
First air frost last night of the season. Also first "cold" day too (max <8C) - https://www.loughlinstown.ie/records.html
Temperature hasn't gone above 5C here all day, first proper feeling of winter.
I am looking forward to some fog with this cold spell
Starting drizzling around 2pm and never stopped
Ruined the afternoon plans 😔
GFS a small bit of snow for parts of ulster Wednesday evening in to Thursday
Hopefully Irish airports will look like this at some stage over the next few months 🙂
Hopefully not. For those of us who depend on travel for work and holidays I hope we never have to see that scene in our airports!
