whipped cream to stiff peak (or use a can), then crush candy cane (I used a knife butt), shave choc with a vegetable peeler & the sprinkles I bought!!

If you want to get really fancy, you could fold in the sprinkles/pearls & candy cane before you pop the cream on (if you whip yourself) would give it an extra pop of flavour 😎

Teeniest touch of nutmeg in cream sauces is a hella job. Note, carbonara is not a cream sauce dish so won't work

and unless you try it you won’t be I can’t tell you how it will taste to you ;)
but basically pretty sweet! Worth trying roasted with some garlic, fresh thyme & shallots or red onions! Dice evenly (not tiny but not huge pieces and as even as possible!) cover with tinfoil, 20 mins, 250c or whatever the highest of your oven is, leave it to finish in the tray with the foil on for about 20 mins more 😎
This way they don’t shrink or shrivel! Also good pinch of salt and a crack of black pepper will help balance the sweetness.
