Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
Anyone have an idea of arena layout for Rod Stewart in Kilmainham? No map available on ticketmaster. I assume there will be seating judging by the fanbase.
I doubt there will be seating
Past purchaser presale is open and there is only Gold Circle Standing and Regular Standing.
forbidden fruit wasn’t announced till end January this year so would expect same though that punchestown dance festival same weekend might move it up.
Can’t wait for the album, new songs so far have been fantastic. ATN would be a nice festival for them, probably end up at Glastonbury again. Hope they do go on to bigger things
Was there an announcement about ATN line up being announced soon?
She could add the 21st too, 3 days off before Liverpool.
Almost certainly will seeing as presales start on the 23rd and gen sale isnt till the 30th.
Nope. And website is still the 2023 background and no sign of being taken down for a 2024 refresh
Yeah thought it was usually in spring around February
Very very seldom to have seating at the Kilmainham gigs. The only one I recall was a Leonard Cohen gig there 15 years ago.
Primavera line up includes few playing here next summer and few who played here recently. The National, Lana Del Ray, PJ Harvey, Mitski and Pulp. Would love to see Vampire Weekend, Phoenix, Justice or Ethel Cain play here.
A few of those will be.
the only seating there this year was a disabled area on the left hand side near the top - v good venue , get the golden circle for a 10er or whatever extra or you be in with the 15000 masses in the back
Forbidden fruit 🍓 first names tomorrow
Four tet used in the social media clip so that’s another act for it
A few from Vampire Weekend, Phoenix, Justice or Ethel? Would be unreal. Any hints who..?! :)
The Stones touring America from the end of April through to July so that August Croke Park date would line up
Wish they went back to the electronica/indie days. I do miss the second day or bank holiday being more indie themed
Bookers changed (they now book beyond the pale) and it works as electronic festival as it’s been sold out last few years. Also it partners with AvA festival in Belfast on same weekend for acts which is solely electronic/djs so naturally shifted.
Irish date probably AUG?
Very well timed to be that croke park date
Yeah same. Definitely think there's a gap in the market for a day festival with that sort of line-up similar to All Points East say.
This might of interest to some but not many in here I would guess
Some very low quality from that genre / era in there. Only a handful of big hits between them.
They were unbelievable in vicar st a few weeks back
Fontaines could have a crack at Malahide now I would think. They did 5k across 3 nights at Vicar Street with no sniff of a ticket anywhere. They still haven't played a full set at Olympia either have they (just the short charity gig in March 2020) so a few nights there are overdue? Either way they will be picking up big dates around Dublin going forward.
Don’t seem to be announced for any summer festivals yet. They been touring for 2 years so might be end of that album run already
I reckon they’ll do arenas first and probably a few in the UK as well. SSE Arena and 3 Arena haven’t been done yet. They probably did about 20k in Ireland including all the dates they did in 2022 though so could go bigger for sure. Whenever they came back it’s gonna be massive
Could end up doing like Hozier and do arenas end of next year before some outdoor dates in 2025
Fointanes don’t work with MCD for Dublin shows so malahide/Olympia are off the table.
collins barracks (multiple nights) or 3 arena only options for them at this point.
Could always change on that, The Murder Capital played the Olympia the other night and they’re usually Singular Artists (same as Fontaines)
