What version is the car on?
I dont see that setting on the App or is it in an option in the car, we only have the software up to the point where you have to bring it in, I thought they would do it when the car was in for a service but they didnt and cant book it in until they make more slots available, i thought everyone they sold to should be updated by now
Every so often I see the same. I set it to 80 then notice that it has changed to 100% when charging starts.
I tried deleting locations, etc. and battery care is on. but it still happens, seemingly at random.
If you are on old software the timers are hit and miss as to whether they work.
If you want it to be reliable you need to get up to v3.2
I have 3.2, it works but the charge to % (0-50) and then top up to (50-100) thing at times never works always just goes straight to max level.
Driving today, so got in car, showing temp of 9C, and happened to notice the comsumption /100km on the spike to almost 60kwh/100km! wow was kinda shocked.
Noticed the little trips (<5km) two of those a day morning and evening in temps <10C really eat the battery. 50% easily gone after 5 days.
It really annoys me that the ID3 only has one speaker. It sounds shite for music
Were you in traffic with heating on? I get really high consumption numbers doing that. Can be well up in the 30s and 40s if I'm in traffic straight away. Normally settles in the 20s by the end of my 12km commute.
But used to get very high in the ICE too. If you're not moving your battery is still emptying just like a fuel tank.
My ID.3 Life (lowest spec), had three speakers. Two front doors and centre of dash.
yup, either sitting or crawling, was down low 30 by end of commute (~5k).
I leave the heating off for tiny trips, the heated seats and steering wheel are great.
What temperature? Mine was hitting mid 20s consumption with temp set to 22c, 8c outside. I assume there was some battery warming going on too (despite the short 10k journey).
Older software heated the battery when temps were below something like 12-13C which caused high consumption on short trips. Updated software now apparently only does it below 8C.
I find short trips or stop/start stuff aren't great even without heat. Drove into Dublin City centre with heat at 18c and both heated seats on the other night when it was 7C and used 16.1kWh/100km, decent figures can be achieved in the milder temps provided you aren't doing 120kph all day or beyond 20C. Heated steering wheel automatically on at level 1.
Additional OEM type speakers as per higher spec models can be retrofitted but not cheap.
5 speakers at least I thought. 1 in the middle, 2 mids in the doors and 2 tweeters in the A pillars.

Finally got the car back (40 days), they re did the update and timed charging is now working, the car did not come back with everything deleted this time and app working perfectly for timed charging. Gom back reading accurately after the battery module replacement. It was even cleaned this time.
It’s not my main driver but I’m glad it’s back, can’t fault 3.2, everything just works better. And proper lights again 🙌 Credit to the after sales lad in Western motors who stuck with it and always had a brand new ev loaner.
Is that charged to 100% at 433km? Don't think I'm getting anywhere near that in mine

At 20 degrees, I'd expect that from a 58kWh

To get that from a 58kWh ID.3 you need to be getting ~13kWh/100km. You’d need to be driving slow to get that consistently.
City - Mild Weather 112Wh/km
Highway - Mild Weather 178Wh/km
Combined - Mild Weather 143Wh/km
EV Database seems to think 13 is very possible (mild weather, and the temp is 20 degrees in the screenshot)
Ye sorry, it’s the 77- the two loaner Borns that I put up 3000km and 1500 Km’s on hovered around 320-330 when 100%, all on same commute so the extra 100km the Tour shows is fairly spot on for the extra kWh’s in the battery..
And that's assuming you have the full 58kWh available, which you won't.
You do, it's a 64 battery with 58 available I'm assuming the 6 is for buffering purposes.
Mine had 50kWh when I got to check it at around 50,000 km. My ID.4 had 71.5 out of 77kWh from new. A very knowledgeable member who has since left here (Mad Lad) had similar results on his ID.3 Tour
