The viral photos of victims of October 7th, shared by the IDF that were actually photos of Kurdish victims from May 2023?

    More disinformation from the IDF.

Jewish people are going to suffer because of the actions of Nethanyahu, his government, the IDF and Israel enablers in this moment.

The world is watching them butcher Palestinians as they look to take over Gaza with a PR campaign that showcases serious levels of fame news.

Not everyone is going to dissassocciate innocent Jewish and Israeli people with the people doing this and some will undoubtedly suffer as a consequence.

    Hamas is not all Palestinians

Israeli warmongers and genocide advocates are not all Jewish people.

No. The ones like this. She is heavily bleeding. Perfectly innocent though I'm sure. Not gonna post some of the other, verified photos of half naked female victims, including Shani Louk. Easily found if you so wish.

I’m honestly shocked you’re saying they’re restricting themselves and “for instance they have not used nuclear weapons” like it’s some form of moral high ground and then following up knowing they would lose military aid if they did. My mind is blown…

It’s devastating seeing so many civilians killed and injured. I’m really disappointed with Biden with his ‘no red lines’. Netanyahu said back in the 90s that the US were easy to handle and it’s proving to be the case. There’s going to be a whole new generation across the Middle East who will view Israel as the enemy and who knows if this will lead to wider conflicts.

Also more disinformation from the Israelis exposed here by the NY Times who attributed blame for bombing Al Shifa to Hamas when of course it was them. Lies and lies and more lies.

“Without wishing to diminish the savagery…”

This thread is packed with posters exaggerating what the IDF is doing (“genocide””ethnic cleansing” etc) whilst at the same time playing down what Hamas did.

Aside from Tell me how’s good effort a long time ago now, posters alternative plans for Israel/the IDF in Gaza usually amount to “well I wouldn’t do this or that”. Unfortunately that won’t do, sadly. The number of innocents killed is tragic and to be condemned but Israel have to get rid of Hamas in Gaza who hide among civilians and civilian infrastructure. I don’t know how else Israel get to Hamas infrastructure in Gaza without going into Gaza.

Of course Hamas in Gaza could release the hostages and surrender but, they won’t, so the suffering sadly and tragically continues.

Given the surprise of the 7th Oct attack ‘the end game’ for Gaza is unknown. As we saw with Iraq and Libya that can be very difficult. As I said near the outset of this thread Gaza could be Gaza on the Med if the terrorists would lay down their weapons and wicked ideology and focus on living instead of dying, not to mention focusing on good for the Gazans rather than evil for the Israelis.

If Gaza was peaceful Israel would have no reason/excuse to build walls etc etc etc.

Israel found feck all at Al Shifa hospital, so now they're going to flatten it.

Sources within Hamas have said they were shocked at the lack of resistance on the day and how much time they were let run loose and that certain elements may, as a result, have gone a bit far.

Which is still far short of being any sort of apology.

The IDF are hideous evil ****.

My jaw is on the floor at what they are at this morning.

Objective 1 is they want all Gazans out of Gaza at all costs. They couldn't give a **** about saving their own civilians.

That is as clear as daylight. The world is slowly waking up to the gaslighting nonsense.

Some of us said from the start that this was what it was all about - an ethnic cleansing, a genocide of Gaza. And then the West Bank too.

    We are being proven right.

Israel is the moral equivalent of Russia, of Assad.

For all Von Der Leyens grandstanding - this is absolutely going to have an impact on Europe. If things keep going on the same trajectory, another couple of million refugees will be sent this way dispersed across systems struggling with capacity as is.

    She has gone quiet lately.

Of course you’re not. The photo posted by the IDF of the victim naked from the waist down was from a different conflict in May 2023 and was deleted by the IDF once exposed.

Are you claiming that Shani Louk was raped too? Like the president of Israel claiming she was decapitated.

Who knows what the future will bring, but it is racing certainty Ireland's position in the world will be greatly enhanced for the stand it has taken on this matter.

It was clear from thr get go that Israel saw a golden oppurtunity to clear Gaza after Oct 7th. The simple murder of 100's of civilians wouldn't be enough to justify what they were about to do so they started to "sex up" the details with stories of beheaded babies etc.

Certainly Hamas will look lovingly towards us.

    Civilized countries not so much.

'' The day job'' ?? Have you seen the employment figures for Gaza?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,182 ✭✭✭SafeSurfer

Yes, that amazed me about some of the revelations from October 7th. There are tens of thousands of Asian migrant workers in Israel, many from Thailand that work 5 year contracts while at the same time, literally a few kilometres away and hundreds of thousands of unemployed Palestinians who aren’t given work permits.

None of this mayhem would be happening of Hamas had not triggered a war.

    Russia went in without provocation.

I have seen support for Israel dropping steadily among my acquaintances in the last fortnight. People who were definitely in support of Israel now doubting much of their news reports and seeing them for what they really are ie just as brutal and murderous as Hamas. I think there's real doubt too among many of their supporters here but they don't want to be seen to lose face.

I think most of the "civilized" worlds populations will also. Just a few lunatic politicians may not., but they won't be around for long.

I dont think Hamas give a great listed salary + benefits alright. Probably listed as unemployed

The West Bank situation would suggest you are wrong about it turning into Gaza on the med. If Nethanyu and his ilk somehow remain in power they will be happy to maintain the status quo. They have no interest in Gaza on the med. You won't want to admit it but this is why Bibi was happy to prop up Hamas in Gaza to stifle any movement on the West Bank.

It suits him perfectly for Gaza to become Israel's security responsibility thus removing any chance of a workable political solution. The only chance is if a moderate like Olmert got into power ,but I believe his or the life of any moderate would be in danger from the far right in Israel if progress towards a political solution was made. We saw what happened to Rabin.

Israel denies the hospitals claims that it has one hour to evacuate the building.

Yeah, one of them was getting his head hacked off with a garden tool while he was still alive. Guess it was justified because Hamas weren't given work permits.

What we know about Shani Louk is she is dead. The piece of bone found was the Petrous bone.

This comes from within the cranial cavity. The Israeli president updated his remarks fairy shortly after that she was possibly beheaded. This is not an unusual assumption if you consider the only part of Shani Louk found was this bone it not an out of this assumption to consider she was beheaded.

The only way for that bone to escape the cranial cavity is for the head to be as least partially. removed. The Israeli president was probably told part of her skull was found.

Was Shani Louk the body on the back of the pickup truck we do not know. If not it's probably another female that pretty dispicable things happened to.

We do know many people were burnt and some were set on fire alive. We do know that women and children were murdered.

What we have now is some trying to throw the fog of war over the atrocity of October 7th.

No, hurting Thai workers is no more justified than killing thousands of Palestinian children.

He only went out for a bite to eat lads.

Canadian politicians could face prosecution before the International Criminal Court (ICC) if evidence emerges that they have facilitated Israeli violations of international law.

Hopefully our leaders will speak out more forcibly when the Irish have left Gaza

    It's shocking what's happening
