Not a good look. I wonder did he go because this was going to come to light?

Ahhhh, I never thought of it like that, I'm really really sad and worried for him now, i wonder will he be okay 😳
🎻🎻🎻🎻🎻
IMO RT has got a good job and has moved on, and well done to him. I am the for nay-sayer here, but he got a deal and good luck to him.
However ... Ha!
I think it will go one of 3 ways
Theres a whole thread devoted to that
Link please.?
He's always pointing.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not feeling sorry for him or anything. It's just like a belated step into adulthood. He never even had to move away from home before.
Ah Ro, how can it not go well? It's the immaculate conception.
Even if he gains some traction over there the backhand payments thing will always be hanging over him like partygate.
AS SOON as a new RTÉ deal is announced that will be the first question- even if it’s 20 years from now
I for will not be listening to him any day, as avoided his 9am show and TV attempts. It sure is annoying how the media world seems to be following every move he makes like lapdogs begging for more dog biscuits.
Wonder how much money was spent on this rubbish and what the ratings were.
Dreadful stuff. And for some reason they brought back Mark Little.
I didn't watch it but saw the first minute, mark little looked like a parody of his former self. His voice had alot of gravitas in his prime time days but now he looked like an Austin Powers spoof of his former self "yeah baby". Trying to pretend he was reporting from year 2050 was ridiculous, they should have got the makeup team to make him up like an 80 year old mark little
WTF did knowl write up that post. Mother of jaysus there are some amount of people here on boards think the fella is the dogs bollox. Seriously has NKM got an army of tub-bots or something?
The regulator seems happy with Q102 relaying Tubridy's Virgin Radio show:
Regards...jmcc
I have not listened to Virgin Radio UK but I have noted that its format is labeled as Hot AC and by definition targets the 18-49 demographic. Q102, however is supposed to be formatted as AC and by definition is supposed to target the 25-44 age group, yet the Irish Times have stated:
"It said Q102 had confirmed it will continue to serve the needs of its target audience as per its contractual commitments, which is a general audience aged 35-55 years"
According to the Irish Times, Q102 is not really AC by definition but is more focused on a particular narrow segment and upwards of the AC target age group.
So when Ryan Tubridy commences his new show on Virgin Radio UK and of which will be "simulcasted" on Q102, which radio station will compromise its format or target audience? Will Virgin abandon the 18-35 age group to satisfy Q102's contractual obligations? Or will Q102 continue to honour it's commitments, just not between 10am and 1pm?
Sounds like they have a marketing problem on their hands. The Q102 syndication looks like a filler but the demographics are very out of synch amd unclear. The guy Tubridy is replacing on Virgin Radio, Eddy Temple-Morris seems far more accomplished in terms of movie and music knowledge (he was formerly a presenter on MTV).
A syndication deal is quite American for the Irish market but it gives the Wireless group filler content and keeps Tubridy, somewhat, on air in Ireland. Perhaps NKM was happy to get that as part of the deal. I doubt that Virgin Radio will change its business model to suit Tubridy. Some of the posters in the Radio forum might be more familiar with the business models and demographics. Virgin Radio has made the announcement so he starts in January. The big question is whether he's acceptable to a UK audience like Graham Norton or Terry Wogan.
Wonder if there's been any news on the Iceland gig?
I wonder will he carry on the tradition of beseeching free stuff like on did on RTE radio 1.
I think that they have a different regulatory system over in the UK. The freebies/free advertising model would certainly be a bit iffy for a Murdoch station.
Enough is enough. The Irish media need to chase him for the €150k. The silence is Deafening.
He's a robber and a thief.
ps his clear squirming in that video shows that he, like us, knows he's an incompetent waankeer
According to the Indo, he has already cracked the UK, just like Norton and Wogan, despite him having yet to present one minute of radio.
It appears someone at the Indo has his back.
RTE Radio 1 8am News has just stated KB salary is higher than what he stated on Primetime. The foolery continues...
He understated his earnings by 31,000.
Great when you can dismiss or forget about 31,000.A very good annual wage for alot of families.
Never will I pay a penny to fund these crooks through a licence fee.
Who is KB???
You can get from Dublin to London in less time than you can get from Dublin to Clifden. I'm sure he will be fine.
Seems to be pension contributions miscalculation. Not something I'd mention when stating my salary tbf?
I suppose any little bit helps to distract from a disgusting totally stupendous salary now funded by the government.
Kevin Backhurst. The "new" Director General of RTE. The one bringing in sweeping changes. An end to underhand business deals.
Funnily enough I think the News is about the only thing RTE does well, and actually they do it very well.
No one will add employer pension contributions when asked what they are paid, nonsense story
No you can't
Well yeah, if you go by chopper you can be in clifden quicker.
