Not dogooders, but blaming them solely for dynamic pricing, platinum packages and all those nonsense packages is not factually accurate. Artists have ultimate veto on these practices as demonstrated by the cure in recent USA tour.
ticketmaster/live nation want to earn as much as they can from shows, but assigning everything to them is stupid and inaccurate.

No news, yes, they confirmed 1st week of November, but they seem to have forgotten, we are in 3rd week of November now.

Also worth catching are Dead Men Walking with Jake Burns (Stiff Little Fingers), Dave Ruffy & Segs Jennings (Ruts) & Kirk Brandon (Spear Of Destiny) doing the best material of all those acts. The Fri night gig at the Róísín will be hopping, or whatever sort of movement the over-45s can muster.

The second Croke Park night was a clear case of overreaching, but the current tour is a very different prospect. There's no comparison.

Yeah I think because of lack of demand for the bad seats all the good seats are now platinum.
Interestingly, the Smile in London, was some €4 extra, compared to Dublin, both were standing.
Smaller capacity in London hence slight price difference
You can pick your row but you can't pick your seat for the majority of gigs.

The Smile didn't sell out instantly anyway. Interesting to gauge the demand given they only have 500k listeners on Spotify...
