Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
Peter Hook and the Light next November
Presale this Wednesday, general sale Friday
Shite
Was hoping they might play Mad Cool in Madrid but thats in July 😔
Just the year so to see them in Galway!
Looking forward to picking up the Smile tickets tomorrow.
New song isn't hitting me but I'm sure it'll be a grower
Anybody know what the ticket price for the smile is.
Always find it frustrating that these things aren't known ahead of time unless it's a huge act.
"From €61.85"
So 70 quid with fees
That's from https://3arena.ie/events/the-smile
Ticket price, was listed on, TM a few hours after it was announced on Monday morning
Was checking Amsterdam and it's from 75, saved a tenner I guess.
On the comedy gig front, it's been brilliant to see the Liberty Hall Theatre being used more and more for comedy gigs. It's such a great room for it and having a venue of that size really helps attract a lot of acts that might not be able to guarantee a full Vicar Street or Olympia.
They've some great comedians scheduled for 2024 like Mo Gilligan, Tom Davis, Jeff Arcuri, Seann Walsh, Viggo Venn, Ed Byrne (who's amazing show was a highlight of my Fringe this year) and others.
€69.60 incl fees, standing secured, but i’d say no prob getting tickets for this one.
seated tickets were the same price, Had a look at both presales, seats available, after i bought standing, only the further away blocks A & G coming up
Just got them in the 3 presale. €69.60 inc fees for standing.
Got sitting as close to centre of stage in A as I could.
Will be a great gig
I see LCD Soundsystem have been announced for a festival in France on 6 July. How does that set them up for a possible visit to Ireland? Will they still be in Europe four weeks later when ATP is on or will they have a stand alone show eg in Malahide or Fairview?
https://www.festivalbeauregard.com/
Ooops, ATN not ATP. LCD already mentioned on ATN thread, sorry for duplication.
Fairview too small. Acts don’t usually like repeating venues here on return visits so means malahide unlikely and depends on exact time of LCD routing in europe. Could see them come late June for Glastonbury etc and stay till after august bank holiday
Just seen that Metallica have added a couple of European dates to their website. Wonder are we going to get one here?
Not many venue options.
doubt they would return to Slane.
Croker and aviva are ruled out.
punchestown or marlay possibility but maybe they are too small for such a production

The Smile- Artist presale allocation is still going, standing and seats block G only, still available, and there are also still 3 presale tickets for standing and seats (block A only)available
The worst seated sections
Be some shock if the 3rd Croke Park artist is actually Metallica
Yep think I'll not do the artist presales going forward. They flog the worst seats into people who are eager to buy.
I FOMO'd
Not happening.
wont be metallica, theyre touring US throughout august
Unfortunately I think you'd need to be a paid up member of the tenclub to get early access to tickets. That's always the way it's been for me in the past, now that I've given my membership up I'll have to wait for the normal fight for tickets
Could you just sign up when the announcement is made?
Pearl Jam supposed to be one of the headliners for Mad cool
That'll do nicely
You need to be a paid member of Ten club and you need to be subscribed from the day before the announcement.
If it’s marlay i wouldn’t be too worried. 35,000 is probably just about their demand here.
Is is that 10 Club subscribers get first dibs on gold circle before everybody gets a go at them or gold circle is exclusively for 10 club? Weighing up joining, don’t really want to but no interest in Marlay Park general admission
The last PJ gig I was at, 10C got early entry into the pit/gold circle. Don't think it was exclusively 10C members though as it was big. I'd imagine the same would happen in Marley Park.
