Road outside my estate is on the news....walls badly knocked down by the storm last night.....hope everyone safe
No major injuries that I heard of but homes and businesses lost sadly.
Coors for me.🍺
Chocolate cake and pints.
Take that Monday !
I slept through the worst of Debi, but it was very mild here compared to Galway.
In serious need of an early night so I'll probably still be awake at 2 am.
I stayed awake too out of curiosity. It was gusty for about an hour but thankfully not as bad as previous storms.
Yeah.. you right. 😎
not gonna be a Michelin chef in two weeks just a normie 😂
No sign of Thomil since consumption of a slice of 'chocolate cake' this morning
...
Spooky
@[Deleted User] , congratulations and best wishes in your new job ☺️
I didn't stay awake, I'm just really tired today!
Watching the film "Moon" with Sam Rockwell. Seen it before, but it's a good film and like seeing again.
Health check for Mrs G today and tomorrow. Bloods and knee x-ray. Trying to finish the siege of Jadotville. What a story and decent movie.
I'm still here, getting rid of me isn't that easy 😁
The afternoon just turned out to be extremely busy, with some colleagues of mine apparently out of their depth at the shallow end of the gene pool... 😑
Homeside now, about to turn in for the night. Hope the rain clears out before tomorrow morning...
You're not tied in with blood.
Give it a shot and see how it goes for six months anyway.
was in KINSHASHA and used Google maps to see how far away was Jadotville , 36 hours in a modern car or 19 days march, so they were really in the middle of no where.
Back to bed time.
It's so peaceful but my tummy is ruining it by rumbling
Coffee and a few pages of my book before I get up
Had coffee but bad in leaba for 'a few minutes ', so tired.
Deskside in the office. I continue to be amazed at how some people make it through life, given that they're barely able to breathe unaided...
Your "out of their depth in the shallow end of the gene pool" comment is soooo good, can't wait to
Looks like your reply may have been cut off there a little, Grem 😉
Deskside here, really enjoying the office today. The weather helps quite a bit, I think.
Oh, and I've signed up for NASA's Europa Clipper mission. The spacecraft will be taking a microchip with engraved names with it to Jupiter when it launches next October. If anyone wants to join me on the mission, feel free to sign up:

I HAVE DECIDED.
giving a weeks notice (mandatory) and taking a week off. I subsequently have decided I’m not giving the place anymore of my time than I have to.
Fair play to you, Raichu! Coming to the decision is often the worst part, things tend to get easier once you have decided.
yeah it’s been on my mind for a long time. I enjoy my work (more or less) but I just can’t deal with the hours anymore tbh
like.. I haven’t had a Saturday off besides when I have been dying sick, since February!!
That's no way to run a railroad 😮😮😮 NO job is worth running yourself ragged in that way, no matter how rewarding it might be professionally! Fair play again for making that jump!
Raichu, I admire all the people in your profession who work so hard to serve us customers. Nearly everyone has worked in hospitality at some time during school and college holidays but soon forget the effort and long hours involved. Being a chef is so life consuming that it’s hard to sustain.
Hope the new job is successful and do enjoy the break.
An idea born this morning out of frustration now sees me driving the bosses car home, it's only a 985 km drive and 10hrs 50mins. Sharing the drive with a similarly crazy colleague and we are halfway.
After putting in the heat again . Either there’s no insulation in the house or I’m getting sick again . Chills coming and going.
Halfway home or halfway about to kill each other 😁
