We're back to the all men are potential murderers and rapists narrative again. Great. 🙄
I’m a woman and I have never experienced anything like this lot are talking about. As far as I know none of my friends have either.
You'll be shunned now for saying that and not towing the line!
"Thank god for feminism". Feminists are known for their tolerance alright.....esp. to conservative women.
Justine makes a living out of this stuff.
No mention of the fact that this man they're discussing wasn't Irish of course. 🙄
Ah yes its all the Irish mans fault.
No! It's not all Irish men - it's only the white ones.
Gateway misogyny???
And now for some Shinner-bashing. Up next, some Trump-bashing.
I’m also a woman and I was just driving along listening to this nonsense, I scoffed at the radio when someone was banging on about women living in “constant fear”- a bit of perspective compared to what women in other countries around the world have to live with wouldn’t go amiss.
Is violence against women and girls a problem? Absolutely. Does that make it any less cynical to use extremely rare events to try and put the fear of god into the listener? It does not. Even the older lady saying “it’s not as rare as you think” and then uses the example of Raonaid Murray from 1999. 🙄
One of the chief suspects in the Murray case is a female btw, no mention of that of course.
I'm off for a swim. I have a headache now after subjecting myself to 30+ mins of today's show.
I'm all for both
.
Christ almighty
So would I in fairness
You may well be but I would expect a Sunday morning magazine show to be more rounded in both affairs of the nation and the wider world, it gets tiresome
Agreed, it is very predictable.
Agreed there Breener, in my opinion Ballsy went totally over the top this morning trying to deflect any ’legalities’ springing up.
The boy Ballsy has become totally defensive and barely able to run an hour of ‘debate’ .
Lad is not comfortable and unable to conduct a discussion. You can almost cut the relief in his voice when he gets rid of that segment.
Otherwise it’s just a bunch of journalists smelling themselves and about as entertaining as a wet Friday in Gateshead.
Unlistenable for the most part.
Well done on your incredible feat of mental gymnastics to arrive at that conclusion, and I suspect you’ve arrived at same without even listening to the discussion this morning.
You can dislike both and simultaneously realise that RTE’s coverage of them is neither fair nor balanced.
Hard to be balanced about someone as unbalanced as Trump, and the Shinners get a softer ride on some RTE programs than others.
But but they get new ones torn every-time they appear Brian or so we are led to believe 😁😁
That view has indeed been expressed on a number of occasions, Francie 😁.
An opinion free zone - unless they're discussing misogyny or "toxic masculinity"
"Thank God for feminism"
God forbid that anyway feminism was anyway responsible.
I predict 1000000000000000000000000% Aisling Murphy was not a feminist.
Not one columnist called out the problem with immigration, this man was a Romani Gypsi from Slovakia.
Not one.
Kudos to Alan Barrett from ESRI calling out pornography and the prevalence of it and how corrupting it could be.
Something my parish has been calling out, its treated like a joke on out media though.
What party wants to make these solutions available?
Maybe so.
Many hundreds of thousands cannot stand the sight or sound of him.
You don't speak for hundreds of thousands.
That’s makey up rubbish. Other than a few disgruntled types fir whom nobody would be worthy of the office there is very little dislike of him. Plenty might not vote for him but that can’t be construed as not standing the sight of him. Calm the ham.
