The 2023 back in stock in Celtic Whiskey Shop €240. Max order 2 bottles.
Max order 2 bottles... Hmmmm. Wonder why that's been changed from 1?
Could it be that there are actually 208,000 of MVR 2023 made available worldwide in total this year?
I suspect this particular bubble is about to burst. €240? No thanks.
It should ahve burst a long time ago. Especially now they have notions and are hiking their other ranges (like the spot range) up to nearly 20% in two years.
Is that a big increase in volume on previous years?
And yet people are falling over themselves to buy MVR every year - at almost any price. If I was IDL, I'd be increasing my prices too. The market seems well able to take it.
I don't know any of the previous years' numbers unfortunately.

Hi guys. I have a MVR 2020 and 2021 to move on. Any idea where I can sell them not through auction?
There's a couple of groups on facebook you could try.
Why don't you want to auction?
I haven't got a great reason. Not arsed with the steps involved, honestly.
Auction is low effort. Drop off to a location near you. Fill out a form. Set reserve. That’s it.
you must be lazy as f€&k…..I’m lazy and I managed it:-)
How much are you looking for them separately and together?
A new Midleton Very Very Rare has been made available:
Introducing a rare symphonic masterpiece of whiskey craftsmanship and luxury, an exceptionally small batch release which marries the pinnacle of Irish whiskey with the pinnacle of French oak, from the forest of Tronçais—Midleton Very Rare Forêt de Tronçais.

Notice that this new whiskey is back to a Timber box, for me confirming the change to sustainable packaging this year was indeed profit driven rather than an embedded sustainability agenda.
People who spend €5000 on whiskey don’t care about sustainability or the planet.
Well now think of the impact of that 5000 spent ln bottom shelf whiskies... instead of one bottle in a box... is what their PR company wil say when asked for comment.
You're right. If you spent that on the peasant MVR you'd have 20 wooden boxes on your environmental conscience.
I had a v good laugh when I saw that it was "limited to 2 bottles per customer" 😂😂😂
185 sterling is about as reasonable as van be these days.
Dunnes at the Beacon sth quarter has a few. 240
i think i saw a 2022 in a store, need to check tomorrow but would it be worth getting over a 2023?
Just get both and then you can compare.
😁 best advice ever.
really brilliant idea 😀
Just got an email from Baggot Street Wines to say they have their final final final final FINAL allocation of 2023 in. €375! Absolute gouging bastards.
Positively a bargain in comparison to the 2022 though, which they're looking €699 for.
Jesus, I might pick up a few bottles in work and sell for a profit!!
Conscious that it's still paying through the nose compared to a few years ago but I'm the last month I got a 22 and a 23 delivered to Barcelona for 560 for the pair of them. One from France, the other from Germany.
More money than sense but **** me when I see those prices at home I'd nearly be convinced I'd got a great bargain.
Still plenty for sale in my local!
I dont get the hype
