You can get 700ml Grants in Asda for about £16 though.
As others have said paracetamol and ibuprofen. Other than that keep an eye out for special offers in supermarket.
One tip I would give if you intend to visit a tesco is to get access to a valid Tesco clubcard for the North as it will allow you to get access to their clubcard offers. I don't think you can sign up for your own one if you live in the republic but my wife got a screenshot of one from looking online and it worked for us. You wont get vouchers obviously but you'll get the in store discounts which can be substantial, I think we saved £30 on a £200 shop.

Yep that's what someone did, I'd imagine they are cleaning up for almost zero effort.
It's much cheaper to buy in the north so a lot of people will stock up on staples like paracetemol
Lucky you. Some people would use it more often and need more. I wouldn't go north just to save the few pence on it but if I am there, I usually pick up a pack.

Cetirizine (Zyrtec generic) in Asda is a less than half the price it is here, I get a years supply every time I'm up, which is about once a year for one reason or another. Great selection of Cider up there too, proper strength and tasting stuff.
I was in Asda in September and they were advertising on the tills and in store that shoppers from the Republic could register for a rewards account by downloading their app.
I downloaded it and registered using my Irish phone number and email address and it worked for me.
You can nowadays, I have one and it's all on their app so you don't need them to post anything out, the vouchers and money off vouchers go on the app.
Same with m and s, they're always giving free sweets or cookies and whatnot away on their sparks loyalty scheme. You can actually have an Irish and NI sparks card on the m and s app, it let's you switch between countries.
Hi, I go up every 2 weeks or so and have found that toiletries, deals on drink (when you can get it) pet food and packs of 24 cans of cokes/Tango/vimto/7up are cheaper than in the south. The big savings are not there anymore and I have found that many products cost the same in £ as in euro due to brexit. There’s an Iceland on Monaghan street where there are good deals but you need to bring a cooler box and go there last. The shopping at the five ways is great and always plenty to pick up.
