To all my Ballinasloe buddies. How are yas all on accommodation? I’m coming up from Wexford so may find somewhere to stay, now I haven’t started looking yet cause anything up now will be gone when we start, but do any of yous have anything sorted?
Anyone any ideas when EOI’s are expected to go out for this panel?
Anybody know how many is left on the current panel ?
Any info on step test for medical ?
Ive mine next week finally. Not concerned over it. Would just like to know what to expect or how long it takes.
Thanks guys
I had mine about a month and half ago now, was told when I went in that it would take about 40 mins but, took just under 2 hours total. Was **** it most the time cause I had to pay to park outside and the ticket only gave me 1h30 mins of parking 😅 probably why my HR was so high during the Chester test 😂 and from what I can remember, it’s only the Chester test, eye test, hearing test, blood tests and urine sample. @Daisys99
Anyone got a contract yet??🤷♂️
Not yet for me anyway keep getting excited every time I get an email notification which is killing me
Same here waiting impatiently. Checking the emails every 5minutes 😬
Still no word on contracts?
does this affect us then ? for people who haven’t got contracts??
I got an email today saying that my file was being progressed to the last stage so probably not.
Better not, I’m nearly all set for January now!
There's an exception for NAS thankfully.

Last month, the HSE announced a recruitment freeze that would exclude approved consulting posts and GP training posts, nursing and midwifery posts, dentists and orthodontists for public service schools and emergency services, health and social care professionals and the National Ambulance Service pre- hospital care.
Contract's just arrived in the inbox
Contracts are out 🥳🥳
Roll on January 🥳🥳🥳
For everyone starting in Ballinasloe, how are yous all set accommodation wise. I’ve emailed a few places I’ve seen on daft and rent.ie but haven’t heard back at all.
They just pulled the plug on Cork. I've never been this devastated before after giving my notice at work and everything.
They done the same with the cork class last September too.
That is shocking! Are you going to go with one of the other colleges?
Gonna see if I can sort one of them alright but arranging accommodation in a month over Christmas is gonna be a tall order. Those who fail to try i guess.
Has one been offered a place in the other colleges? Now that cork is not happening. I haven’t got a place yet even though I was meant to start in cork.
The deadline for preferences is tomorrow so I doubt there will be offers for other places until then.
Hi All,
Does anybody know if there is a pathway to change career from being RGN to NAS? Is there a post for nurses in the ambulance in the feild? Not looking for admin/desk job. Aiming to progress to advanced paramedic but I don't have an idea where to start. Thanks in advance!
