Love it!
I can see myself in photo 5 as Robert De Niro in Casino waiting for a drunk Sharon Stone to fall through the door!
Flat roof houses look weird.
Wow that is something special alright. In an I'd-love-to-get-a-nosey-in-there kind of way
It looks like a brothel.
I can just imagine the lines of cocaine being done at that glass top table in the main room.
"Now what cupboard did I put the fondue set in again...maybe its in the one thats home to the electric skillet?"
I wouldn't know myself.
Well this landlord sounds like an absolute joy to live with:
Birch Avenue, Caherdavin Heights , Caherdavin, Co. Limerick to share on Daft.ie
I got bored reading through it about halfway. But there is a couple of spelling mistakes in there. They should have proof read it to not look like a complete gobshíte, actually wait they look like a gobshíte even if there was no spelling mistakes.
"Non Smoking,No Vaping, No E-cigarettes.,etc , No Drugs, No pets, No Parties, No Excessive Alcohol Consumed on the Home/ property nor Home / property grounds."
Mr O'Grady is no craic.....
...and WTF does the "Living Dynamic in my home" even mean?
They only state its an "owner occupied" ten times.
In case someone misses it.
Also, this: "With 24Hr Video / CCTV Surveillance on the Grounds of the Home."
Yeah, bet they have cameras in every room. 🚩
I hadn't the energy to read through all of that, so much repetition, so many spelling mistakes and Random use Of Capitals... 😁
He should take his own advice - and I quote - 'do not bodder wasting my time!!' 🤣
This bit at the end...
Please note, 5 day verses 7 day accommodation in my home can be negotiated , taking in mind that that there is an understanding that future tenant will not be in my home 24 7 for lack of a better term , that he or she has hobbies or making use of Libraries , that are free, rather than running up the bills in my home.,etc.
No doubt showers would be timed, cooking not encouraged, and no TV or heater in the bedroom for fear of running up the bills!
There are three bathrooms but it looks as though all of them are for the only and exclusive use of the owner?
Its an illiterate and nonsensical ramble, but it might work out ok if you were serious about studying.
No, after re-reading, it sounds like a nightmare.
I didn't even read that bit got bored halfway through. He is an absolute nutjob. Go to a library to study or go some where else so you do not run up the bills. I'm paying good money to rent a place I should expect to treat it as my home for the duration I am there.
I'd love if someone who does party a lot was bored and read that rubbish and decided to rent the place just to annoy him and invited a big gang of college students back to the house for the craic for a house party.
Bodder
In short, he wants the rent but not the tenant.
It’s not even clear if you’d have use of a bathroom. All three bathrooms for owner use only from the way the ad is written.
I wonder how many people Mr O Grady has murdered?
Can’t stay the full week but you get to share the bills, 50/50 share no doubt.
Horrible house. For 1.2m I would want my jacks seat fitted correctly too.
I don't think I've ever seen a more unappealing house in that price range before. That hall with the kitchen, dining, living room could never be made into a home, in my eyes anyway.
A bargain at 1.5million... Would love this except for the heating bills!
I would hate living in a house like that. Dark, cold and uncomfortable.
It only has 3 bedrooms - its way overpriced at €1.5m. Its not worth overpaying for the history or indeed 18 acres that comes with it.
The photography is also very poor. It wouldnt encourage anyone to want to view the property.
I agree, I think it’s one of the worst examples of a McMansion we’ve seen on here. Now, it’s not helped by the fact that the owners seem to have moved out and just left a rag-tag selection of furniture behind (at least I hope that’s what it is, cos surely no one would select such awful, undersized furniture in such a big house). But look at the size of the kitchen! In pic 7, I was wondering if that was a little second kitchen, or granny flat, but if you look at the floor plan in pic 18, it’s literally two tiny strips of counter space and a range. The room is absolutely cavernous and empty, and they can’t even put a decent kitchen in. They obviously ran out of money and just put in the bare essentials.
They are absolutely dreaming at that price, would take another couple of hundred grand at least to make it anyway livable.
it was up as an Air BnB previously, probably wasn't getting many guests.
Its not appealing as an Air BnB either.
It may appeal to some rich american with notions of 'the old Ireland'- thats where they should market it.
That 1.5m castle is overpriced. It's also a small castle with lack of space. They never showed the kitchen which I assume is on the same level as where you'd chill out/sitting room. And where would the table go as the couch would be pretty big and take up a lot of room in the small square ground space.
I could see this doing quite well as an Airbnb - but not to live in full time.
Strike that! Obviously they tried that and it didn't work!
Another small one bed house for under €100k .... this one doesn't look in bad nick.
They have tidied it up nicely but it would not be for me. A small thatched roof to have to fooster with at regular intervals, all that stone wall to freeze you - the full length front and back, low ceilings and suspect new plaster inside, no or minimal outside space. Something dubious about the site too, or at least the part that is registered.
