Its only on 1/3 of an acre - .15 hectare, which is not a lot for a rural house and might create issues for a water treatment system. The roof has a number of slipped and missing tiles, which might suggest the roof timbers are not in great condition. One of the chimneys needs some plaster work - though I have been trying to get a plasterer to repair a similar chimney for about 3 years now with no success, good luck with that. As part of a major overhaul it would probably be done ok. There is a lot of damp in the house, it looks like a house that would need a very considerable amount of work and money spent on it - for a house in a very rural area on a small plot of land
Oh lord...the pile of toilet paper on the landing, were they just using the corner as a toilet or am I letting my imagination run away with itself? 🤢
Oh yeah, it’s not for the faint hearted! Looking on Google Maps, I’d say the surrounding land is still owned by the owner/same family and they’re is always room for negotiating more land in these scenarios.
I’d definitely want more land and the stone shed behind too.
based on the pictures and your comment it sounds like a bargain. Loads of free sh1t.
Photo 9 is either an incongruous mini greenhouse or a crime scene,

I’m not a fan of modern builds that try and look like they’re hundreds of years old. Some of the interior is beautiful, but I hate the low ceiling and beams in the living room. They look like cheap 2x4’s and don’t fit in with the rest of the decor. Beautiful location though.
I like it, there's just far too much wasted space.
😂😂
I think I'm gonna win this thread
A 20' container on a field near a farm in Dunboyne, some other trailers around, rent a mere €1400 per month

I just do not get the allure of beams. Ever.
If the container was at the end of your folks field and you were paying rent to the tune of the actual cost of the container that wouldn't be the worst.
To an actual landlord absolutely not.
Has that been taken down? I can still see the ad but just get a blank page when I click on it. Any other pics of inside?
I can still get into it, it links in through Facebook though
Here's a few.
Got it on mobile.
The ad wouldn't open on desktop for some reason.
It's actually not a bad bit of tiny home design - and at least it's clean.
But €1400pm???? 😱
How about this one?!? 😂
The sad thing is, I bet they got PMs!
I hope the arseholes in Dail Eireann are proud of what people are forced to live in.
I like it. The owners must have plenty of money, nice Porsche in the driveway.
Fair play to them for building something different
I can respect the care and thought that has gone into it, but building an obvious pastiche - and its the obvious that is the problem - is just irritating.
That house was here before. How can nobody remember it. The Porsche was mentioned too.
I cant figure out where you'd put a telly.
Plus unless you're a size zero, shimmying in between the washing machine, shower and toilet would not be fun.
Not so long ago, page 388.
I posted it.
No internal pics unfortunately - but is sure is a "squash and a squeeze!"
That surely is a weeny house! If you were single and worked in Waterford though it could be a great starter house. There isn't even anywhere to put bins though, I'd say it might be a bit claustrophobic!
There's a sitting tenant so you couldn't even move in.
I'd love to see the inside, it might be quite nice despite being small.
I understand building houses in gaps like this is in New York and London etc but Waterford city? Not exactly high land values even today. Probably done 80/100 years ago too. You have to wonder…..
Looks like the patio is covered with blood stains from a dismembered corpse being dragged across it. That's a nice feature.
Looks like rust on a steel corrugated roof.
