Yeah one of the dalys sent them to me. Was in college with jack
Yada yada I'm afraid your barking up the wrong tree dawg I'm a it long in the tooth to have believed the hype .......thankfully
Gas man jack . Liam Is a cleaver lad
A cleaver lad, jeez I wouldn't like to meet him.
What a kunt of a year. Down to 12 litres here, everything locked in to the sheds for the year. Looking forward to dry off which will be about 3 weeks early by the looks of it.
Whys that then ......... ya a **** of a year lots of crops lost lots of money lost lots of companies taking farmers for a ride 🤔 ........cows really stalled up the last few weeks. Dry off will be a relief to a lot of lads surely. Hear empty young crossbreed ed cows changing hands for small money last couple of weeks. Staff Refused to milk on in December in one place........
Weather's clearing up around the 11th👍👍
We're sorted this time..
€107/tDM for grazed grass on owned land??
Ms. Walshe went with Goldcrops figures. Goldcrop, a privately owned commercial company that happen to be one of the biggest importers of seeds and chemicals into the country
Lazy journalism at its best.
One wonders who it serves to publish such crap. It stinks of Soviet era propaganda.
Word is the same around here.
Since the 17th of this month we’ve gotten 224mm and still raining hard now.
No wbarley or wwheat planted here yet. No cover crops planted either.
Planted Linseed up until the 15th of this month and nothing sprouted because it was planted into dust. Sprouted now alright!
‘Throw the kitchen sink at it’ must be the ultimate statement from a salesman!
In the costings that were published in the FJ by Ms. Walshe she includes a cost of artificial fert of €448/ac. What the actual fcuk??
Maize needs 80uN/ha, any more than that an it’ll throw out 2-3 cobs which is a big no-no. Maize needs carbon in high quantities in the soil, not the complete contents of Gouldings Fert.
It's largely the same further south except only about 30mm rain holding up planting.
Was in Châteauroux on Friday and they were planting away no bother. That’s about 4hrs east of me but way less rain than here.
It was borderline in the Gers whether it was too sticky to get seed covered before pre em. Not sure what soil type there
Got a great response to spraying the maize with humates and seaweed. Dont know which one did the trick but some difference where bits were missed.
Finally was able to quantify the yield difference between adding humates and not. Between 1.5 and 3t/ha extra grain yield when treated with humates. Some difference.
In the few years I’m growing maize I’ve threw the sink at it pre sowing and I’ve always had number crops with starch from 34 to 37%…..different climate over here …..lots of maize sown last 2 years and very easy see the crops where farmers have skimped on seed rate or feetliser …..that’s even before you’d throw in all the videos floating around lately of lads stuck ,diggers toeing and digging out harvesters and trailers and floating water in fields that should never have maize put in them
With all due respect Mahoney, over a decade ago I was talking a lot on here about ‘Trifolium’ and people were proudly posting pics of monoculture Aberxxxx whilst telling me to shut up because I didn’t know what I was talking about. Meanwhile Teagasc invented something called ‘Clover’ and it’s all the rage now. Funny that.
Ginger22 is using the right approach..maybe take some notice…or continue with the kitchen sink approach. Your call.
I've seen good results from Montbeliardes, for what it's worth, they're milkier imho.
If staff were paid properly theyd do what there asked look in the papers 39 hr week 30k looking for permits for dairy farm these adds are a joke theres always adds in ifj looking gor chefs in dublin its hardly a smart place to advertise unless ur not looking for no reply so u can get a permit. What are these staff going to do that ur talking about going to do if there refusing to work are they going to sit in house watching day time tv.
Saw neighbours today for the first time in years, some pile of shite, better off working than watching that
Agreed 👍
No idea there ted .......no staff here thank god
So where exactly are u getting your stories farmers selling young cows cheap exactly what is cheap in euros.Staff refusing to milk cows in december are these fact or stories u heard in the pub.
Seriously i dont understand what u mean in your post can u explain thanks
Experience and knowledge comes with age..😀
Even I wouldn't recognise that cast..
Haven't seen it since Kylie..
It hasn’t been the same since Kylie left.
The acting in it is brutal
Surely not Fair City bad??? - I remember being on a beach down in Wexford sometime in the 80's with a M8 when we ran into some Aussie tourists. First question he asked them "Do you get to watch Neighbours there??"😒🤨
Everybody needs good neighbours...
