Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
Galway Airport will host Norman Cook, better known as Fatboy Slim, on 9 August 2024 for one night of his eight-date Ireland and UK tour.
Fatboy Slim's 2024 tour takes in a host of interesting open-air venues, not least Galway Airport. The other Irish date is Fairview Park in Dublin but the star will also play a date in Glasgow and five dates in England.
Looking like Springsteen is announcing dates tomorrow, a few of the dates went up on promoters websites early
Bruce doing Irish tour next summer
That’s ACDC croke park dead anyway
So the 18th for Cork is a bust then annoyingly
I see Craig Finn from the Hold Steady playing the Workman's in February. Anyone seen him before? He's being supported by Scott Lavene. I saw him at a festival in the Summer, absolutely hilarious. That should make for a decent night.
With Promoters trying to make the best deals would there be more gigs with other bands in PUC or Kilkenny since the stage will be in place?
Don't they normally announce another day on the day of the sale?
I've seen him solo, with a backing band and with THS, always a good night.
Probably not. At least for PUC it’s championship time so it will have to be quick turnaround.
realistically not a ton of acts that can sell out PUC
“The Cork concert will follow home Munster Senior Hurling Championship fixtures against Clare and Limerick at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
It is envisaged that and the pitch will be back in working order for a possible Munster Hurling Final on June 9”
Hard to say from a Waterford point of view but Kilkenny is a great place for a gig like this. 2013 will be hard to beat but it will be a great atmosphere
I guess that's ACDC for Slane if they are actually touring
Hopefully Green Day announce dates soon and that will be that for 2024 😄
Garth Brooks has hinted at coming back to Ireland, sounds like there's plans to play Cork but not sure when with the Bruce Springsteen announcement. It leaves Garth Brooks one day for PUC.
Bruce’s dates look like there could be one xtra gig at certainly a couple of the venues
No chance. Most of his dates now have a two day gap between shows, following his health scare. This partly explains why Cork lost the 18th.
Back to back shows are very very unlikely. As is it’s Thursday night and Sunday night for two consecutive weekends here
On day tickets go on sale but with a show on 19th, I'd think it may be more unlikely. Not totally a loSt cause, but less certain than I would've been
Sorry I meant day of sale.
Unless there's a massvie amount of buses ferrying punters there and back, it'll be a nightmare for getting into town/home after.
Grindcore is definitely an acquired taste and can be as extreme as it gets. Many who are into Grindcore will have listened to a fair bit of Death Metal, where blast beats would be pretty commonplace and gotten into Grind from there. Jumping straight from Pantera or SOAD would be a big aul leap.
Idles confirmed a UK & Ireland Tour for 2024, no dates as yet
Probably a trinity or fairview in June/July
Where did you see this?
On Instagram they mention to pre order new album for presale code for uk/ireland 2024 tour
A presale code with each purchase, purchases had to be made before 5pm today so presumably an announcement is coming quite soon.
Could Green Day be the RDS ?
If so won't be around the same time as Rammstein due to the stage
Anybody know the price of the DJ Shadow tickets?
Nah RDS outdoors is solely for aiken use and mcd promote green day here. So if it’s outdoor it will be marley or malahide.
€33.95 plus ticketmaster fees
That's not true at all. Fleetwood Mac, Kings of Leon, the Hella Mega Tour (which Green Day were part of) and Post Malone were all MCD promoted and in the RDS.
Kilmainham in August a possibility?
