As LHR offers significant discounts if you fly NEO aircraft due reduced noise/emissions etc the goal is to ensure all flights to LHR covered by NEO aircraft, still a few CEO flights to LHR currently so NSD should fix that
The aircraft rotate around, so any NEO could appear in Cork might stay a day or a week
having travelled a couple of times on the new 320s now the economy fit on the older EI 320s is substantially more comfortable

Would love to see them bring back Cork/Lisbon.
Not sure if this was posted here already, EI-LRD at KCVG Kentucky international taken on October 6th. Any news on the repairs?
Apparently A333 EI-GCF had to divert to Winnipeg from San Francisco last night (Irish time) and landed at Dublin this morning. It is scheduled to fly to Bordeaux for maintenance at around 3.15pm. A332 EI-DUO is scheduled to fly to LAX this afternoon.
Winter schedule kicked in today so nothing too unusual in this, aircraft get cycled through maintenance
Indeed.
EI A332 EI-DAA flying to LAX today!
Any repaints due over the winter ?
Probably a couple. Back in 2019 they stated that new livery would be applied as aircraft needed repainting.
Seems there are 3 A320 CEO's based in Cork alright since the start of the weekend, looking forward to one being replaced with a NEO.
Lads,
What aircraft do Aer Lingus fly from Dublin to JFK usually?
(just want to know if theres monitors for each seat for the kids for the journey, if not , i need a plan!! )
A330s
All transatlantic routes have in seat IFE unless there's a failure and a hire in from another firm. These are very rare in winter. It's always a good idea to have a backup plan for kids entertainment though
Excellent.
Thanks for that 👍️
In the Summer they always fly a A330-300 to JFK
In the Winter they might occasionally use a A321LR rare but it has happened
Both have the same IFE and WiFI setup, same content, in fact the A321 is better than some of the A330's
EI NSD due into DUB early Thursday afternoon.
......and likely straight to work on Friday morning.
And it’ll be gone tech by Friday evening
Flying on a A321LR this month to Philadelphia in Economy. How do these seats compare to A330 or the B777 on other long haul carriers?
My own personal opinion is the 321 cabin is nicer than the 330 cabin with a better IFE system etc. It just feels a bit more cramped because it’s 3-3 as opposed to the 330’s 2-4-2.
As exaggerating as that sounds it has the potential 😅
And according to Flightradar your information is spot on.
So is this an extra plane or is one of the older ones going ?
Yup - EI152 to Heathrow
Guess based on recent changes would be EI-CVB or CVC going.
Was on CVB the other day! If it’s not that one that’s going it needs to be
If the 4 neos were brought in to replace aircraft I would say both cvb and cvc will go ei cva and ei dvj have left since the neos came
Think we might have cursed EI-NSD. Seen on Facebook that when it returned to DUB earlier from LHR the crew was unable to get the front door opened so everyone had to exit via rear stairs 😬
Edit*
EI ramp worker claiming the stairs were only in place due to tight turn around and all doors working perfectly.
Just watched NSD taxi off the gate here in Dublin just about on time for the EI174
There's two more 320neos on order with airbus for next year right?
Yup, 2x 320neo and 2x 321XLRs due next year.
