While i agree with the general sentiment regarding ticket prices, Rammstein is probably a bad example. The level of production at their shows is off the charts so getting more value for money than most IMO.
Apperley Green Days UK and Irelands dates will be Dublin, Glasgow and Download
Download won't have Green Day.
Rock Im Park/Am Ring,Nova Rock and such announcements Thursday. You'd expect lkely to have Green Day whereas Download don't announce till the following week would be very unusual to do that given other Ireland/UK dates on the table,no?

Yeah you are probably right and all reports from their 2012 show I've heard were glowing. But then again Zoo TV was brought to the RDS with god knows how many CRT televisions and a setup that didn't reflect an extortionate ticket price. A Bit Old Man Yells at Cloud element but there was no Restricted Viewing or Firezone or Gold Circle just General Admission. Get a good spot on merit not by paying more.

I read yesterday that Aiken will start to announce acts first week on November
Bit mad all the acts on tour next summer, we already have Smashing Pumpkins/Weezer, Liam Gallagher, Rammstein, and Taylor Swift for June and Coldplay in August. Then over the next month or so we’ll probably see Green Day, AC\DC, Pearl Jam, Springsteen and maybe Foo Fighters announce their tours. That’s not even thinking about Iveagh Gardens, Fairview, St Anne’s type acts

Lots of American acts too, feels a bit more exclusive when they play to me given the travel involved. Announcement timing isn’t ideal either, lots of competing gigs all a month before Christmas. Could well be the last time we see Springsteen and AC/DC. Pearl Jam haven’t been here in ages so must see for me
Its the way things have been going since Covid.
Big US acts only seem to want to come over for the summer, do big outdoor shows.
Even smaller Irish and UK acts are concentrating more on the summer months now with open air shows.
Its frustrating though as there is a glut of events in June and then very little for the rest of the year.
The days of bands doing big arena tours around the UK and Ireland seem to be largely gone, alot of UK arenas are struggling.
Then we have the case of Manchesters new Arena
Possibly that Sphere in London might never be built
Has to be malahide then as rds will be off limits for the stage build for the following nights rammstein gig.

Surely Pearl Jam in Marlay Park is a better option
longitude is weekend after but marlay at 35k might be a stretch for pearl jam. Malahide at 20k seems more realistic

Pearl Jam would easily sell 35k tickets, no bother at all, they have a huge following in Ireland.
Eddie sold over 15k between the 3arena and the Marquee on his first visit here.
If MCD book them they will come.

Agreed the fact they haven't played in Ireland since 2008??????? It will sell well, as mentioned if Eddie on his own can sell out the 3arena twice plus the marquee

Just checked the poster for Toronto and it looks like only big wreck and finger eleven are supporting. Hopefully it's just they haven't announced who out of the other supports are also on the bill.
