Before you make the switch maybe you could try some bottled beers.
I recommend the Crafty range in Lidl.
A nice selection in half litre glass bottles and not too dear.
I think you mean like you see in sensible countries like Germany, Finland, Sweden, Denmark etc!
Got an email from wineonline this morning for their Pot luck sale. I don't have any experience with them so can't say how good/bad a promotion this is but want to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Has anyone got this before?
There was some discussion about them here but I don't see the pot luck mentioned.

They are being phased out. Most of the Crafty stuff comes in 4x330ml can packs now. Works out more expensive as well.
That's for the Frizzante, semi sparkling, or "the open bottle from the night before", as my girls call it. Still a good price for a bottle wine.
Coming to every shop in the country in February.
How much is the deposit fee?
From 1 February, 2024, when you buy a drink featuring the Re-turn logo, you will be charged a small deposit in addition to the price of the drink. The drinks containers included in the Scheme are PET plastic bottles and aluminium and steel cans between 150mls and 3 litres. A deposit of 15c will apply to containers from 150ml to 500ml inclusive and a deposit of 25c for containers over 500mls to 3 litres inclusive.
Thanks for the tip.
I better stock up 🙂
The Crafty Brewing Co range (brewed by Rye River for Lidl) are still in 500ml bottles in my local Lidl. I googled for photos of these 330ml cans and can't find them.
Rye River have 330ml cans under their own brand name. Maybe that's what you're referring to?
PURE JOKE..................
JUST ANOTHER WAY OF GRABBING.................
I wouldn't mind but I would say 99%+ of cans I currently recycle in my green bin which works perfectly.
I'd say maybe 10 cans a year when walking about town go in the general waste bin as there's no recycling bins on the streets, when this comes in me or anyone else isn't going to walk around town for 20 minutes to find somewhere I can lodge the single can to get the 15 cent back in the form of a voucher.
No, it's the Crafty range. The only bottles left in my local now are the stout.
Edit: Actually, it may be the Rye River ones. I'll have to check next time as I've stopped buying them but they've replaced Crafty anyway.
..
Heading north - any deals worth looking for?
Anyone can share their Nectar point card so I can get good prices? Thanks
Some of the Crafty range have been in cans in my local Lidl for weeks now - sold as 4x330ml. No more bottles for these ones.
I’ll send you card
👍. I knew I wasn't going mad 😂
Bad timing with the deposit on cans coming in.
There's always the Brown Bear in Aldi for €1.99 a bottle.
Tesco
these prices start 01/11, end date varies.
Those are the cheapest prices anywhere (currently) for Black Barrel and 3 Swallow. Though Black Barrel was €30 earlier in the year (and €28 last xmas) so there is potential for better deals.
3 Swallows is only lovely at that price! Do you need a clubcard?
Fraid so - offer runs until 19th November assuming stock left.

I was in Tesco yesterday and managed to get Method of Madness gin for 30.
Not a deal but availability alert:
Puca 7 year Single Grain (€29.99) and Small Batch Stout & Rum Aged Cask (€24.99) are in stock in Aldi currently. They come into stock infrequently, usually around this time of year.
Specifying they come in a gift box, they've been reading the whiskey thread the cheeky feckers 😂
The crested is at 30. Does that go down to 25 sometimes or could this be as good as it gets?
You can set up the Sainsbury's, Tesco UK and ASDA cards on the apps and then add them to your Google wallet so you always have them to hand.
Crested is €25 in Supevalu currently. Expires 1/11 (tomorrow).
It'll be €25 again sooner or later, definitely before xmas. Supervalu might even immediately continue the deal for another week, they do that sometimes.
Roku gin is €25 in SuperValu. Offer ends today.
From Nov 2 (tomorrow) Lidl have various Dundalgan in stock
They've gone up in price noticeably this year
Anyone have any recommendations from this range?
