A £50k fixer upper over in Devon.
And just in case that photo doesn't tempt you to make an offer.
If you got it for 350. I'd be surprised if it didn't sell between 4-450.
Prices are a guide, they don't mean anything these days.
True, and really it only needs some redecorating, once the furniture is gone even that might not be that big a deal. It appears to be in excellent condition, all the floors are laminate, the kitchen is nice (with new tiles) and the bathroom is fine. It seems to be well looked after and in good condition, biggest job would be changing all the light fittings! I'd say the back yard has been given a quick tidy up, the gravel could cover a multitude of sins, but that's not really much of a problem.
This house used to be the official residence of the Bishop many years ago.
The thing is you'd be getting a 3 bed near the coast, fantastic public transport, stones thrown from town for under 350k just needs a refurb, the mad front drive replaced, and the garden reinstated.
A lot of heating bills! 🙄
Thats a fabulous house. Its very good value priced at €1.2M - you really are getting alot for that price
How the hell did they get the two caravans in? Looks like a crane must have been used.
Oh my goodness, I was not expecting that for an interior!! That's gorgeous.
And over 5000 sq ft..... can you imagine how much that would be anywhere within striking distance of Dublin?
A bargain at €1.2 million!
https://www.daft.ie/for-sale/detached-house-knockglass-house-knockglass-crossmolina-co-mayo/5412099 - I don't think this has been on here before? It has a lot of potential. A bit of forested land and borders a river. Nice.
It's so fussy, I had to leave it and clear my head 😁.
The bunk beds took me by surprise because I assumed it was an older person's home. It's like as if Mrs Bucket (Keeping Up Appearances) was let loose and told to do her worst.
Going to attempt to look at it again now.
And the shower seat in the bathroom.
I’d assume by the decor that it’s Granny’s house and bunk beds are purely there for occasional visits
Probably LED bulbs and chances are lamps are used more than overhead lights.
Laundering all the bloody cushion covers and unnecessary pillow cases would be a bigger issue.
With all those multi-bulb chandeliers everywhere, they must have some electric bill.
Between the downstairs hall and the landing there must be 12 bulbs alone.
Some of the furniture looks like it was moved for the photos.
As already mentioned the couch looks at a blank wall which has space for a couch and would face the TV.
the bunk beds block access to the window. Who gets the job to climb over the lower bunk to pull the curtain each evening.
I was trying to imagine putting a child within reach of said chandelier!
The pillow rails and hanging pillows crack me up.
I wondered that as well. I think they are.
Imagine waking up in that top bunk, sitting up and skulling yourself on the twinkly chandelier...
It looks more like a younger person's decor to me and the bunk beds suggest children live there.
It is very fussy and tacky though.
Edit: I've looked again, I think you're right!
I'd say its an old woman's house like your one from "Keeping up appearances". The position of the couch and TV in photo makes no sense.
That house looks like it spends a lot of time underwater. You can almost smell the mold from the photos.
Those round things on the stairs carpet....... are those lights 🤨
The "notions" comment from above is far more applicable to this one!!!
Jaysus, the state of it!
’This house has been exclusively decorated by items from The Range.’
Satellite dish on the front of a house is a pet peeve of mine. Ruins the look of a house. Might as well make a feature of your ESB meter or outside tap.
Cheers, the red telephone box in the front garden should really have given that away.
Id love to have the money and skill to restore this house.
€75k for an almost-livable house. It hasn't been touched as far as decorating goes for many decades and it has what looks like a good but of damp on walls. For €75k though you'd hope to have enough budget left to fix it up.
I've Googled but not seeing anything. Seems to have been a respected member of society? 🤷♂️
Edit- Ahh I see above.
Names on the drum on the wall pic 20 google those with address and follow the rabbit hole!
