Just found the above chart backing up what I have been saying for years.
Global warming is a wholly natural event, if humanity disappeared tonight, global warming would still happen.
You really don't understand how daft you actually sound. I am an environmental scientist with a good grounding in biodiversity management and ecology.
Your analysis is one dimensional and shallow. A one size fits all solution to complex issues.
You need schooling.
Given the previous evidence you've handed out I'm guessing it won't be peer reviewed.
Lol sure you are
Same peer reviewed papers that say conservation is stopping desertification?
Im absolutely 100% convinced that if we restore biodiversity on the land we’re going to go a very long way to solving climate change, and everything else.
Believe what you like, you obviously pick and choose your reality anyway.
Ok so environmental scientist. How are we going to stop desertification & biodiversity loss on 2 third’s of the planet without livestock?
Reducing livestock on most of it would be a start.
Planting **** loads of deep rooted trees on the edge of deserts is just about the only proven technique for arresting and reversing desert encroachment.
Stop emitting greenhouse gases.
Your not go to agree with either so why ask.
Something like this?
Yep guaranteed 100% failure.
Says Savory 😄
I can see huge problems & unintended consequences with your strategy.
You said reducing livestock, but there is almost no livestock left on the land in the area’s that’s desertifying!
That photo of trees on the edge of desert i just posted, how’s that stopping it? Looks to me like the desert is blowing right through it. Heavily reliant on irrigation also.
Stop emitting greenhouse gases, yep we certainly need to do that. How will we do it?
You really should open your mind up & let go of the ego & learn something from the Savory institute. Look at there research station’s & data.
All that your trying to achieve can be achieved very cheaply, very fast using animals managed correctly.
Your a tar baby and I ain't playing any longer. Bye.
Lol truth hurts. Environmental scientist nothing to say when common sense is shown.
The Evidence to support Savorys claim it’s our only option is only getting stronger & stronger.
Meanwhile the actual research says it's not and has proven to be effective in African nations. Apologies, just gonna link to actual studies rather than savory. Quantifiable evidence rather than blog posts..

Interesting article. Didn't say anything about the improvement to the local biodiversity, but more native trees will bring back more native wildlife. I vaguely remember a documentary on PBS about the Baobob tree and all that went on with the creatures living around it.
It seems that Savory is actually backed by Big Oil money and Big Agri finance. Now there's a surprise

Trees can be grown for free using holistic management.
nearly everything on the planet is backed by big oil & agriculture. Fair play to them for backing regenerative agriculture.
Sea levels to rise due to Antarctic ice sheet retreat even faster than originally estimated by the IPCC in 2021:
What are we going to do about it? whats the solution?
Myself and other posters have listed pretty detailed approaches. Your approach is to increase carbon dioxide output and get some cows grazing...
Lol better get planting your trees so, huge resources to be used to transport, planting, irritation etc
And better start killing off all those animal’s that are overgrazing. Wait, there’s barely any left in those region’s!
I think we’ve being trying that for over a hundred year’s already though.
Think I’d rather upsteams aproach.
Are yee actually Trying to say regenerative agriculture is a bad thing?
You're claiming it's the entire solution to global warming. That's a lie. Improving biodiversity, I have no objection to but pushing an approach that lacks a scientific basis is not the way forward. The fact you claim the scientific method doesn't work for the approach is pretty telling, that's more in line with homeopathy.
How many people that have posted on here are actually qualified to make any of these claims?
I started this post to see if anyone that has actually studied the relevant information to back up what has been claimed about global warming and it's causes, but all I seem to be getting is very much second hand claims with very little factual data behind the claims.
Never said that, it’s going to be a huge problem solver for allot of thing’s.
Obviously we need to sort the fossil fuel’s & energy problems.
How can We help stop global warming, climate change, biodiversity loss in Ireland?
You started this thread to claim man made global warming is not a thing, the science doesn't agree with you. That's based on the research of the scientific community versus you, a climate change denier. So you're the guy rejecting the experts.
So the dumps we knew were bad faith disinformation attempts turned out to be bad faith disinformation attempts.
Even the "experts" disagree, so should we close the thread altogether because we are no climate scientists?
Not what was said and you know it.
