Construction of new bridge structures over the N3 and over the Tolka Valley and river. Construction of infrastructure to facilitate diversion of the existing 1200mm diameter 9C foul sewer. Existing ramped access to Tolka Valley Park to be replaced with access at similar grade.
Agreed. During the consultation I complained that the pedestrian diversion was insulting, being multiple times longer and with long pedestrian crossing times. But pedestrians don't pay road tax (sic).
Hmmm, I'm pretty sure it was suppose to be 12 months for that section, and it's gone well over that by now.
Given they haven't opened anything that looks done yet it suggests it will be all together.

Yes, a roundabout and a junction practically on top of each other. Nightmare, especially with people who don't use their indicators! Bus in front of me struggled to go round the roundabout too.
Won't that roundabout before Waterville where you turn right for the M50/city eventually be replaced by traffic lights only?

I thought they reinstated the roundabout after the public consultation. Works due to finish Q3 but I'm guessing it's still a few months off
Well, if the forecasted completion date for Blackglen/Lambs X (end Q2 2023 ) is anything to go by it’s going to take a good length of time yet.

I wonder if, especially in the later evening, to exit into Blanch village (near The Bell), go through the village and turn right after the Garda station would be quicker then the shown route.
Overhead signs are up as you come off the N3 now. Unfortunately those signs bear no resemblance to the current road layout so it's causing issues.
Normally new signs that are not yet effective are covered in black plastic until effective date. Strange that hasn't happened here.
i noticed one arrow on the sign for a bus lane making a very strange diagonal route direction...what bus route is that for?
I'm guessing it's for the bus connects hub planned for the centre
I see a crash on that temporary roundabout at Waterville this evening. I’m surprised it’s the first one I’ve seen to be honest! It’s set up terribly and no one seems to know how to use it!
If that's the one I passed, someone was getting cut out of a car, scary. That temporary roundabout and the signage on the ramp off the N3 at junction 2 are so bloody dangerous! I've started going by ballycoolin and cappagh to avoid those junctions.
That’s not the one I saw so there’s been at least 2 crashes on it so far!
Another big change. Waterville turn is now a t-junction, with the mini roundabout further up to the bridge, I think.
It's a fecking s*it show. They said they would leave the roundabout where it was after public consultation massively opposed a t junction there.
Will it actually lead to less queuing on the N3 outbound exit for Clonsilla bound traffic when completed? The queues are brutal lately.....
It's the disaster of a slip road at the moment, misleading overhead signage still causing chaos. Combined with roadworks in Blanchardstown village last week was particularly bad. I've found myself using Cappagh Road and Ballycoolin a lot more lately to avoid it all.
Yeah..I generally only use that exit at nighttime now and drive further to the Mulhuddart/SC exit instead even if its a further detour. I'll still get home quicker!
The pedestrian lights have moved up closer to the T-Junction. I haven't gone by yet without seeing someone carry out a dodgy U-turn.

Stop/Go system in place at a no. of junctions. Snugsboro Rd, L3020, N3 slip road, & main street. No idea how long it's in place for. Looks like they're installing temporary traffic lights.
Ah...that must explain the gridlock on Clonsilla Road in Blanch by the credit union. Took me 20 minutes to get from the Roselawn junction traffic lights to the Chinese restaurant corner this afternoon. Even when you had the green lights to turn right into the village, you couldn't as you were stuck behind so many cars turning left for Snugborough who simply couldn't move. The queue from the village went all the way back to Supervalu too.
Has an end date to the works been mentioned yet? Will it be before Christmas?
