That would well describe many of the posters on Boards of all political persuasions from my 19 years of being on the site, especially the ones who are re-reg trolls and cannot let a thread pass by without feeling the burning need to contribute their pearls of wisdom to the “debate” - usually just a circular online spat between the usual suspects.
There are so many posters on Boards who would do well to check themselves into a psychiatric hospital for a good long stay rather than spend day in, day out online looking to be offended and “triggered.”
Bitterness, delusion and obsessiveness dripping from so many posts and threads on Boards.
Are the people claiming that men can have babies and are entitled to access to women only spaces going to the psychiatric hospital, first?

Woke isn't anything new. Abolishing slavery, Catholic Emancipation, interracial and denominational marriage, social Welfare, gay rights, women allowed to vote and have property rights, banning child labour, abortion rights, gay marriage, all those things were considered crazy, unimaginable and pc gone mad at some stage.
Some of that is more The Great Awakening, it doesn't quite overlap directly because the Great Awakening was also about religious revival. Or just political liberalism / reform.

The point I made was gay marriage was pc gone mad or woke 20 years ago, now it's considerable normal. Homosexuality was illegal 30 odd years ago. In 20 years time it will be compulsory going on anti-woke hysteria.

They tend to become normal and everyday things after society had problems accepting them in the first place. What was woke becomes normal 20 years later.
Though as @odyssey06 rightly pointed out, not all of it gets accepted.
And not every novel idea is a good one.
Some people would have us change nothing. Some people think biblical times were the height of civilization. Doesn't make them right.
