In Putins three day war
Who said that Ukraine is getting 60 billion of that money
Is it a coincidence Ukraine have decided to harras the Russians over the Kherson river after causing huge losses to Russian jets and heli's? There won't be the usual heavy aeriel response to their probes as the Russian air force regroups and relocates. Hopefully this is the end of Russia setting up large airfields within Ukraine. Maybe parts of Crimea they will still use.
President Biden, you know that guy who helped destroy half the Russian military with scraps he found at back of his presidential couch
I see the overall Bill ha risen to 105 billion now
Worst part is he talks about what the young people wish for the future. Who the f*** does he think was in Maidan Square?
two weeks
Interesting. Even if Israel shifted from where it is now to be as about as supportive of Ukraine as [I think] Turkey is (i.e. still not very e.g. they don't "give" anything away weapons wise, they will not sanction Russia, but are very happy to sell Ukraine almost all the weapons it wants + have US/Europe ultimately pick up the tab) it is great, because Israel makes very good weapons.
Not a coincidence, i suspect.
AFU also put a lot of effort into taking out radio towers using drones and artillery so that when they attacked the left bank, russian comms wouldn't go anywhere. Combine that with the remaining helicopters being kept even further away and every russian reaction time has increased exponentially, allowing solid bridgeheads to be created.
When it comes to Ukraine vs russia, the pen is mightier than the sword.
This must be the highest daily loss of Russian soldiers in the whole war
Crazy and they just keep sending them, wave after wave
I believe it's the highest single daily reporting for soliders, tanks & APC's.
On the back of the worst day for helicopter losses.
I should add.....
So far.
Disappointed that they've not sunk any more submarines this week. Something to look forward to, I suppose.
WW1 going over the trench stuff. Mad to think a Country is sending their men to their deaths like this in 2023.
They look like they were all taken out by mines? Their own mines. And the second tank in that video was pushed over one by their comrades behind. All that's missing from that video is the Benny Hill music.
Hard to imagine that artillery is that pin point accurate.
What does it say for world politics if Ukraine emerges as the dominant military power in Europe, maybe not in equipment, but in terms of experience and manpower?
I don't know how AFU compares to France or Germany...
Ukraine will undoubtably come out of this as the most experienced army in Europe, but all of NATO are watching and learning here
The Ukrainian troops that were trained by NATO and sent to fight were said to be lacking in many skills
One problem the Ukrainians found was they were only trained to attack not how to defend professionally
That was remedied in the trenches
The west will always hold the advantage, Ukraine have only been given a small number of smart artillery for example
Poland will probably become the biggest military force in europe by the looks of there spending and again they are giving Ukraine there older simpler stuff which most countries are doing and repalcing it with newer smarter weapons
The training is still a big issue,it seems of your a tank or IVF crew you got ten weeks of training with NATO forces and then sent to the front, from listening to parents who have lost sons and daughters in the trenches infantry got 5 weeks of training and then sent to the trenches ,so essentially they were given just NATO basic training and then sent out to fight without the NATO structures or supports other forces would have fighting NATO wars ,
They are still using the same older tactics Just with more advanced weapons
It's being reported by the UK MOD that the likely number of Russian helicopters destroyed on Oct 17 is 14.
9 Russian military helicopters were destroyed at Berdyansk and 5 in Luhansk.

Not Benny Hill but close!
Little drone makes big boom!
is there a price tag on each of those helicopters? 10m, 20m?
Any idea what kind of explosive that was? Can kind of see how air warfare might be going the way of dinosaurs, at least, why have bombers when you can do this with a drone. A drone. No humans, just metal and plastic.
Hit a TOS-1 according to the comments. Might have been thermobaric warheads that went off.
At this rate Russia would need to suffer Bakhmut losses to take that frontline town.
Looks like an RPG Rocket
With that much firepower?!
It would have happened already if not for vested interests in the pilot communities. USAF tests from over a decade ago showed the viaibility of autonomous drones
Defo a TOS-1. Those things need to be taken out on sight. Those thermobarics are scary, as well as illegal to use on troops but sure, Russia doesn't give a shite.
That or an artillery shell ,but that explosion looks like what ever munitions was on the vehicle when up ,
The US is already flying uncrewed helicopters an currently flying several F16s without a pilot in the cockpit
