Primary season is here and the road to Tuesday, November 5th, 2024 begins tonight with the first Republican primary debate in Milwaukee.
Donald Trump has decided not to partake so the participants in the debate will be;
As things stand, the Democrats do not plan on having any primary debates as Joe Biden is running for re-election.
You don't see an issue with him doing an interview with Alex Jones of all people? A man who is currently facing bankruptcy for harassing victims of school shootings?
I read the article just now and what Ramaswamy said, and I wouldn't describe it as "venting". It's more musing than venting. It's uncontroversial, it's conversational magnolia.
Other than that, I'm not sure what else to say on the matter.
I'd love to hear @[Deleted User]@[Deleted User]'s view of this since he was a big fan of his. Remember when they were likening him to Obama. 😂
Off to a wonderful start, a great cadre of adults to govern for us
Gleefully rolling in their own sh1t
Oh yeah remember when Vivek was hopeful he had anything approaching a shot?
He got mad that Sean Hannity didn't give him a softball interview, as seen during his softball interview with Alex Jones
Tom Emmer is the next contestant, didn't vote for the Jan 6 coup.

Another day where things go from bad to worse for Trump.
In a devastating shakeup for 2024, Kanye West is ending his campaign
I forgot if we even mentioned it here.
....
The Republican Caucus has effectively disintegrated: 9 nominees now, **** it’s like primary season for a Speaker
Jordan no longer in the running for speaker after losing a secret ballot 🤣
That could be practically said for the entire republican caucus
Haha he lost even more support - 25 votes against this time around.
What a mess.
Speaking of messes...Jim Jordan's district...
I was going to book a ticket to an Insane Clown Posse concert, this has saved me the money.
In any other country this clown show would see a party dragged across the coals, the electorate ready to pounce. Only in America is this pantomime standard operating procedure, and cheered by a chronically undereducated and overstimulated electorate.
QUORUM CALL: 427 MEMBERS present
214 to win the speakership
seven absences.
Not gonna happen, Gym.
He is one of the most detestable characters in there. You love to see him lose, lose, lose.
3rd vote about to start, will be a laugh if Jordan loses even more reps.
Not surprised that Gym doesn't know the meaning of the word "no"...
Excellent stuff, will make sure am home in time to get the feet up and watch that 🤣
Gym Jordan goes for a third vote.
Hey siri, what is schadenfreude?
GOP doesn't have the votes to test giving emergency powers to the pro tem (and the pro tem threatened to resign)

Catastrophic numbers.
Republicans have backed down from repeated threats to impeach incoming Wisconsin supreme court judge who was 1) elected and 2) could tell that water was wet, and publicly said that water was wet - ie. that the state's districts were gerrymandered. Republicans were incensed that they didn't win the election so they wanted to impeach her before she even took office, feigning that her public commentary during the election campaign was an impeachable offense of official misconduct.
Cohen interviews the top Democracy Watch founder/activist lawyer.
Everyone seem to know it was legally DOA, and the voters didn't buy it - why would they, they just voted her in, based on her election campaign. This is bound to severely hurt Republicans in the state of Wisconsin in 2024 - and not just because of the inevitable outcome of the gerrymander case, but because of the immense blowback the threats to impeach her were.
And putting Ketchup on them!
Imagine giving him maximum contribution and he blows off the debates and campaigning and goes 'anyway, gonna go golf and eat steaks'
lol the man didn't even turn up at the primaries
I'm really concerned actually about the amount of physical force being used against members of their own caucus in closed door meetings. Like honestly they cannot govern themselves, they literally can't maintain the civility. They're in a deeply fucked situation. So is the country, because they're in the House Majority. In a way we're right now in the semblance of a partial coup by MAGA. And the longer they refuse to go knock on Hakeem Jeffries door and say "yeah we fucked up by entertaining these seditious sideshow **** for too long. Please help," the longer this is going to hurt everyone. American, Israeli, Ukrainian, European, global ramifications. Global pain. We're into the 3rd week of the 45 day Continuing Resolution that Republicans passed finally before kicking out their own Speaker for doing so. The US Government is still, basically, heading for a shutdown next month.
Now folks, before we judge - who amongst us *wouldn't* lunge at Gaetz if they got the chance?
Update, Jordan doesn't want a third vote after all. It's called off. No #3 Speaker Gym Jordan.

Republicans would rather vote to give additional powers to the speaker pro tem, which may be constitutionally fraught.
