Take 2 minutes to look up each provider site to check unit price & standing charge or use bonkers, switcher.ie
They get commisssion for your signature. Do not believe a word of it.
Use switcher.ie and input your usage to get a real comparison.
What unit rates are they offering? What are you paying?
If you put them up on this thread you'll get a good idea of whether it is a good deal.

Take a picture on your phone of the rates they show you on the door and make sure that's what you get.
Maybe cheaper for a limited time - could be worth it if you keep an eye on the enddate of the offer and are free to switch again at that point - need more details though.

i had similar guy today. his offer was:
35c day
25c night
42c peak
saturday free
this was after 15%+5% discount on dual fuel
i am currently on smart plan with EI with all day same rate of 44c and saturday free. gas with BG already.
And that’ll be 10% cheaper in 2 weeks

not sure if BG rate at door includes that discount or will they add that discount?

Unfortunately I can't share the link but it's very impressive It's based on your own personal date. He is still working on it, it currently doesn't account for electrcity you sell to the grid for example.

Can you only download a weeks worth of data at a time from ESBN?
It's all your data while that meter is associated with you (i.e, your name on the bill, if you rent or move house). The week thing is just the graph display there. You'll see all the many rows if you open it with Excel or OpenOffice.

The Radek Toma site/tool worked a treat! Note, if you move supplier you lose usage data for some reason when you go to download it from ESB Networks, a month or so data still showed that I made the right move of supplier...for now :D

No if you download the data to a hdf file it gets all your data since smart meter activated although if you change providers you can loose data from before that, I did
