Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
What Fanirish said, actually you join the "lobby" at first which opens usually 30mins before tickets go on sale and then the second tickets go on sale, you join the q with a random number allocated to you. Technically theres no difference what time you join the lobby, but for the Coldplay tickets, Ticketmaster crashed for people who tried to join the lobby just 5-10mins before the sale.
Was expecting The Last Shadow Puppets come back...
No.
βWhen ticket sales start, the temporary queue is refreshed andΒ everyone who is in queue is assigned a random place. Then the final queue starts for buying tickets. In other words, it does not make sense to wait for our site already hours in advanceβ
What's the deal with Ticketmaster and queuing for tickets? Assuming its like anything now, the earlier you join the queue the better chance you have. Was logged on and in Q about 15 minutes before the tickets went on sale and was 1400 in the Q, by the time it got to me the tickets were sold out.
Referring to Liam Gallagher tickets.
Haven't heard or seen a mention of GBH in over 30+years. I'm assuming it's the same band.
My mates older brother was a punk in the 80's and I always remember the poster he had on his wall.
No, Ticketmaster glitch
Cheers. Wont make Conflict but def Pissed Jeans.
Just like a lot of people in slane for harry styles gig, paid more than double for platinum and ended up in the same area even further away
Ah listen I know the refund requirements and obligations, its more about the background part of it and blatant overcharging.
At least they've moved the pricier tickets to a pricier section but the point is more that someone who paid over β¬200 for a platinum ticket will now end up in the same area as someone who paid β¬90 (like me) for a 'Category 1 Seating Ticket' which is extremely sneaky.
At least we know our '3Arena venue restoration fee' is been put to good use
Refunds available up to Sun 12th Nov 2023
If you bought platinum then you can get a refund as the event has been rescheduled and the new date and venue is a change of terms and conditions.
If you are unhappy with your new ticket then you can get a refund, its the law.
Probably better to get a refund and buy a new ticket for Kilmainham, it will probably work out cheaper in the long run for the majority of people.
Tickets for this will be going for 60 euro next June.
Does Liam Gallagher have a Gold Circle in 3 Arena? The standing tickets had 2 price points one at 70 odd the other 80 ish ?
Have they said when tix will be on sale for Kilmainham?
They've announced it formally now.
That say that Front General Admission, VIP, Seated Price Level 1 or Platinum tickets are valid for the Gold Circle.
That said, the price difference between Seated Price Level 1 and Platinum Tickets is significant so if someone bought a Platinum ticket, they've paid more for the same.
For all the punks out there:
Conflict, Grand Social, Friday 2nd February https://www.thegrandsocial.ie/events/conflict-3
Pissed Jeans, Whelans, Wednesday 3rd April https://www.whelanslive.com/event/pissed-jeans/
GBH, Whelans, Saturday 25th May https://www.whelanslive.com/ticket/g-b-h/
I intend to be at all threeπ
Surely they'd have to if you've paid more than the cost of the new tickets?
I missed out on tickets to Dublin, and bought Glasgow instead - thinking I'll do both now!
IMRO are lethal. The venue has to pay.
No you canβt. in ireland imro collect fees and royalties for the public performance of songs and songwriters get a %. At big events/festivals itβs about 2% of net receipts.
EP was threatened with court over failing to pay it years ago.
imro and or the festival have people assigned to get setlists off the artists in order to distribute the payments to songwriters. Friend did it once at EP as a job for the weekend.
for an arena show the IMRO fee could a few grand. On a liam Gallagher DM tour the PRS fees could easily be 100k . If noel has songwriting credit for decent chunk of setlist could be 30/40K for doing nothing
Not true, every venue needs to have a PRS licence.
Noel wont get a penny. Anyone can sing any song live and not pay royalties.
Yeah, true.
I was trying to conflate Oasis with the struggles of humanity. π€£π€£π€£
I witnessed the same. The audience was rabid in the Olympia. The most innocuous gesture from Mitski, and they'd erupt in near hysteria.
Ah so it was! Saw it elsewhere as a new announcement.
All over folks nothing to worry about!
They sure were. Boot up the time machine if you want to see the show! π
Ah it's a pity she's not coming back to Belfast. Sold out Ulster Hall last year and the crowd were foaming at the mouth for her. I've never experienced a more enthusiastic crowd in my life. I might have been the oldest person there (40). I don't think I'd travel down for her but she definitely puts on a good show.
Were these not last summer?
I've only heard of a song or two of his and wouldn't say it's that similar to sp
Almost 100 euro for nosebleeds for The Smashing Pumpkins and Weezer, someone has got the pricing seriously wrong again.
Will pick up a standing ticket next year for half price.
Live royalties are fairly low , think a tenner a song is the upper tier
Noel will get paid nicely when Liam sings those songs, so i doubt he's too bothered.
