Are you looking at a RWD (LFP battery) or a LR/Performance?
I have a March 2022 RWD, very happy with it. Seems well made, nice to drive with great efficiency.
As with any second hand car, do a good check over for damage etc. Paint on mine, white, seems good. But I do generally look after a car. Car should have 2 cables, Type 2 and Granny.
And of course, don't pay too much.🙂 Best of luck..
Thanks for the reply
Its a RWD 2022(Sept)
I have a 22RWD and bought the wiring loom, Tesla moved the speaker connections so the loom wires are no longer long enough, they were all on the passenger side close to each other, but now one is moved to behind the driver seat which I discovered after 1.5hrs of taking panels off etc. was too much hassle to start extending wires etc and route back through front dash etc so I abandoned the exercise
and also remember the centre dash speaker and rear boot speakers are no longer installed so it's just the front 4 speakers that are sitting there and they are high/mid range so no extra bass, just more spatial and the current setup is fine in that regard
I've a Sept 22 RWD. Went from a 24 Leaf to this and I love it. Very comfortable, extremely efficient and plenty of power. It's a made in China car, so much better build than the US models before it. The warning noises when you get too close to a kerb, or another car cuts in front can be annoying, as it cuts off the radio sound, but that's sort of a first world problem. Great car. You could do a lot worse.
Hello there Marty McFly. What’s it like in the future 😂😂😎
I suspect he meant 24Kw :-)
The refresh model is up on the configurator now for ordering
Can anyone get a referral to work?
Model 3 removed from the referral program.
Just ordered mine, LR
Grey is now a €2k option which pushes overall RWD cost up by €3,226 😮
Why is there no alternative to cash when you order, I assume they just need to put that up yet?
Finance options are still available for all other options other than new Model 3. These options are subsidised by Tesla (APR 0% or 3.9%) as rates are below market. This suggests that with changes to website to update the new Highlander Model that it is an oversight(bug) or alternatively a view taken that this new model will sell itself without the need for Tesla to offer further incentives. Tesla are always changing the incentives so it is a moving target.
A quick question, I am thinking of getting the tyres rotated. How much do Tesla typically charge for a ranger to come and do it?
Yes, you are best to get a ranger to do that. I once was rotating tyres and ended up stopping a car driving by and used his tyres on my car and my tyres on his car. Very confusing and complicated job rotating tyres.
No idea but I had mine done locally while at work (Ennis) for €20
Massive jump in price from RWD to LR, €10,500. Worth it though for the acceleration. Hopefully we will see price cuts next year if BYD cut prices on the Seal to claim market share in this segment.
In July it was 38.. which is exceptional value for personalised service
Worth noting that if you get a someone other than Tesla to rotate, check that they have torqued the wheelnuts to 175Nm (129 lb.ft). This is unusually high as most cars are normally around 120-130Nm. I do it religiously every 10,000km and its worth investing in a decent torque wrench if you plan on DIY.
Also be aware that the TPM sensors will be reversed if you swap rims back to front, so its important to reset the tyre service configuration after they are rotated, replaced, or swapped. Its located under [ Wheel & Tire > Tires ].
Strangely enough, my TPM sensors take a good few days before they reset their positions (I had the rear tyres slightly lower than the front).
I was always under the impression you do not have to reset the TPMS. The car will adjust automatically.
It may well do, given they auto reset after replacing tyres. A manual reset does it anyway to be sure.
I note there was a change to the TPMS sensors at some point to a propriety bluetooth model, meaning they arent compatible on older cars. Any idea when that change occured?
21/22 I think.
Is that the refresh? So maybe they coincide with the refresh model.
More price cuts in the UK. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2023/10/17/wlon-musk-cuts-price-tesla-model-3-uk-3000-pounds/
Link not working for me.
I thought the new model launched this morning at the same price in the uk too.
try this
https://cardealermagazine.co.uk/publish/tesla-again-slashes-prices-of-model-3/291512
Basically a 7%/£3k price cut, not to be sniffed at
Wow, that's pretty cheap alright, is it worth it though (the effort, not the cost)?
Tesla says it has worked to improve the interior quality – one of the main pitfalls of its predecessor
Say what? I'm diving a 231 model 3 and it has a lot of flaws but interior quality isn't one of them
Let’s see if Ireland gets the same price cut, but it looks like it’s actually bringing the base uk price more in line with Ireland.
It appears to be a better car in almost every way, and a big chunk off the price, so there’s no doubt it will drop the 2nd hand market a little more
