Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
Kinda sums up society.
The person who does the innovation/work is sidelined while the mouthpiece gets all the likes
Ugh, I was looking forward to it in the 3Arena. Wonder if they'll refund the difference in cost between seated and standing tickets. I know the answer, mind 😂
blink reschedules
This looks like hell on earth
Mitski has an interesting bunch of support acts over the course of that tour, Richard Dawson?? Really? Julia Jacklin, Cowboy Junkies!
I wish Mammoth WVH would do a show of their own. They have 2 albums worth of material to call on.
Mammoth Wvh support for a Dublin show yet again
Hard too beat the 2010 Vicar Street show. Seen Myles with AB and Slash with GNR in recent times
Will be a decent night but hard not to agree with it been a little stale
Seems very stale after GnRs recent activity.
Meh, if you've seen them you've seen them.
Slash ft. Myles Kennedy in 3 Arena on 28 March
I'd say Mitski will sell that alright. That particular type of teen audience, music fans, not just celebrity fans, who get super attached to their idols à la Lana Del Ray, they love a gig. Mitski really excellent when I saw her at EP a few years ago.
They've curains to reduce the empty seats and make it feel more intimate if needed. Concerts don't need to sell out to break even. I'd much prefer tickets to be avaialble to all that can go than having it in smaller venues and playing to the hands of touts
If Noel went on tour doing the exact same thing he'd shift 2 nights in the 3 arena as well.
Noel sold out Kilmainham and has sold out most of his upcoming arena tour.
The music on the radio is absolute trash, get yourself a cheap Tidal or Deezer sub.
Mitski is good.
I'd say he's delighted that he's making money off Liam's tour without having to lift a finger.
The fact he is doing a Definitely Maybe tour I think it will be different. A lot of Oasis fans from back in the day will be eager to go I think.
I am anyway.
Definitely maybe nostalgia is the unknown aspect. Depends on that if 3rd night added
Fair play too her
Be rare enough when I listen to radio or keep up to the date with so called 'new' music
Barely does 2 in a row anymore. His voice gives him awful issues (because he doesnt sing "correctly") and his all round general health isnt great these days.
You'd wonder what Noel makes of all this.
He wrote pretty much all of Oasis's songs and is struggling to sell out venues whilst his idiot brother is playing 3 nights in the same venues.
Liam has jacked the prices up for this cash grab of a tour, standing tickets are 85 pounds in the uk and he is charging 105 pounds for some seats.
Few years back he was charging 35 euro in the Olympia I think with Beady eye.
I don't think Liam ever does 3 nights running. If you look at Manchester and London he's left loads of room either side for nights off even after the potential 4th/5th nights
Does anyone think Liam Gallagher will announce a Saturday night gig once he sells the Sunday and Monday gigs, would he fill the place for 3 nights ? I will aim for sunday tickets, but saturday would be even better.
Last time he came here, if i remember he played 2 nights and the second night there was any amount of tickets for sale .
There is this thing called Google. It's your friend. But, in the meantime, Mitski is a critically acclaimed American musician with seven albums to her name. Her 2018 album, Be the Cowboy, featured in the top ten of many end of year lists, including The Guardian, Pitchfork and The New York Times. The Sunday Times described the follow-up, Laurel Hell, as a masterpiece.
Maybe we'll actually get it if the Vicar St expansion/addition goes ahead 🤞
I doubt he’ll sell enough to warrant a third night here. Kilmainham didn’t sell out last year
Who ?
Fully seated configuration capacity is 9500 not 8000.
It does seem very ambitious though, Dublin badly needs a 3-5k venue something like the Inec in Killarney.
It can sometimes be the case. I got third row centre for Deacon Blue (Olympia) and fourth row centre for Eric Clapton (3Arena) on their respective fan presales.
Called it :) Not sure about her claim that the fan presale will have the best seats as that's far from guaranteed for presale tickets especially in the 3Arena but will see sure..
