This is a tempescope - I'd want it even more if it acted as a barometer, without the need for an internet connection.
This looked interesting and after searching for it, I found that the creator has open sourced the plans for it so you could build it yourself. If you know how to code an Arduino you could eventually add a pressure sensor to make it work like a barometer without the need for an app as you said.
