Half a million soldiers, and 50,000 special forces and 20,000 spy's (alleged) yet not one knew about an attack of 2,000 attackers,,planned months/ years in advance, I highly doubt that ,big plan stan .

An endless conflict is probably what Israel wants to legitimise the land it has stolen. What better way to recruit the next generation of extremists than to go in and blow their homes and families to pieces

It's certainly failing to get confirmed. While I would take Joe Bidens word, I would not take Bibi's word.
That would only lead to even more hardline people occupying it, if that's possible.
At least it looks like Egypt are telling the truth in all of this. The aim is to push the Gaza population into Egypt. No surprise really, just what other countries are willing to help them do it.
Israel should be getting sanctioned for all of this. It's this double standard that makes the Russian sanctions ridiculous as they cost us but Israeli sanctions wouldn't.
They are air dropping leaflets on Gaza now telling residents to move south immediately. I guess they are going to level the north first, and then tell everyone to move north while they level the south. Madness.

Every Muslim country should have to take in their share of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip. With the largest share to Iran.

If you had neighbours who when they spot a gap in the fence with you. Rush in with machetes and machine guns and slaughter all what neighbours they hate on the other side whilst shouting "God is great".
They won't live in peace. And Israel don't want them there ready to jump the fence again and repeat the slaughter.

Neither Hamas nor the current Israel government are interested in peace. So if one must go so should the other. If you take just the last twenty years what side has suffered the most by far. The West Bank is not ruled by Hamas and look at the way they are treated there. In a way Israel is lucky that Hamas only sent over around 1500 fighters and not 10 or 20 thousand

As for going off the reservation, many have stated revenge/retribution is the agenda. With the photos I've seen I can understand that.
Your post shows a lot of ignorance for someone who is a fairly sensible poster. You should perhaps research a little bit of history of the region.
Those people in Gaza are nearly all refugees who were forced off their lands by the Israelis. If you look at the conditions they're forced to live in for decades now, it's not surprising, to me anyway, that some have turned to murdering Israelis.
Our own history with the Brits is almost the same with the ira being comparible to hamas. Which is why many Irish people naturally support Palestine.
There won't ever be peace in the region so long as the Israelis are there with the US behind them. They have a huge military might behind them and they abuse that superiority daily. There's no hamas in the west bank. Palestinians are mostly unarmed from what I've seen. Yet 30 of them have been killed since Saturday.
I think the world's eyes are being opened by this conflict and Israel/USA/UK/EU are suffering massive reputational damage

I went on line and could not believe how small Gaza is, for that many people. Cramed between Egypt, Israel and the sea. If they were smart they should try and move them out of that hole and find/buy a good piece of land for them to live. There will never be peace with the land set up
Israel has the overwhelming preponderance of power in this relationship. Especially in recent years, with Netenyahou in charge, they have used this power ruthlessly to grind down the population of Palestine. Their kill ratio over many years has been 5:1 or greater. As the stronger power the obligation is on Israel to be just towards their adversaries, to do all they can to bring a peaceful settlement. Compare it to a marriage.
I bet you won’t have so many terrorists and their supporters dancing over the bodies of Israelis in Gaza today all the same
