Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.
That's most likely the fake fan poster, although seemingly the headliners are accurate. I'd imagine A7x are likely to play here on arena tour more than during festivals
Saw some leaked Download poster on twitter. Has Rammstein headlining the Saturday night and Avenged Sevenfold on the Sunday.... hopefully as well as the former, the latter makes their way over here.
A lot of Polish nationals here love Rammstein so they will definitely snap up tickets
It has hosted a number of shows over the years including U2's Popmart show in 1997!
Didn't know there is a Botanic Garden in Belfast. Learn something new everyday
When will the annual LATM announcement come
It was pyro/staging/insurance that meant Belfast was only venue that could work for it.
Following on from this Thursday's sold out show at the Waterfront Hall Christy will be doing what must be his biggest ever Belfast show next June.
Dunno if it's restrictions on pyro or the insurance cost associated with the sheer quantity. Playing PUC would be handy though
There were rumours that when Covid meant that the Boucher Fields gig was cancelled; that it wasn't rescheduled because ticket sales weren't going well.... another advantage to maybe moving it this side of the border if true.
In Belfast those "up close" tickets were £125 when I checked. Same seats last year were £50.
Aviva not an option for Rammstein?
They fill stadiums all around Europe so 40k or so would be doable IMO.
Left field option would be PUC.... they sometimes play "odd" venues like Coventry and Milton Keynes for example.
Dunno if there are restrictions with Pyro in Ireland, never heard of it before if there is.
and also Marley Park use the same stage set up for the single gigs (GNR / Green Day / Def Leppard) and then Longitude weekend so Rammsteins set up wouldnt suit.
My apologies i keep forgetting about venues been exclusive to promoters
Yeah cause it’s an MCD venue and Rammstein are an Aiken act.
Would Marley Park be unsuitable ?
Yeah they were meant to play Boucher fields i think 2020 and then when they rescheduled that tour they dropped it off the new dates so assume its that again. i cant see anywhere down here that they could run that type of show. not Marley Park as they have there own set up as they have multiple shows in a one to 2 week period. unless it was Phoenix Park i cant think of anywhere else they will come to down South
Bombay Bicycle Club playing Belfast and Dublin 29th and 30th January. General tickets on sale 27th October. https://twitter.com/BombayBicycle/status/1711773767171465258?t=54lcf8ZZcT7JF25gkNyINw&s=19
It could be the cancelled Belfast date back on. Boucher Fields wasn't it?
Rammstein is true, Aiken reposted the tour announcement video
Nope, plan to start works in august 2024 so plenty of time of shows
Marlay park is mcd venue so no to that being used.
rammstein will be Belfast if it’s same set up as before. Belfast only venue they can get away with pyro/insurance cover for.
Thought I saw the building will start In August 2024
Think RDS is out of use next year?
Hopefully true about Rammstien and AC/DC playing here
I'd prefer Croke Park over Slane 100% and if a license is granted for a 5th show then happy days
Would Rammstien play RDS or Marlay Park I wonder
Only stating what I've heard. No other venue was mentioned. Just that a licence for Croker has been applied for.
Wonder will it be in belfast or Dublin
Rammstein playing next year as Aiken reposted their video about 2024 stadium tour
Slane with a decent support would make sense, especially if it’s going to be last ever Irish show
Surely AC/DC will be Marlay Park or Slane (if they do Ireland)
Nothing up on DCC website, sure the 4 nights that Coldplay are doing hasn’t even been applied for yet.
and the 4 Coldplay shows are already over the agreement between GAA HQ, residents and DCC so trying for a fifth might be risky.
yeah Garth got 5 but not sure how keen residents/DCC will be to promoters going over the agreement.
aviva has 3 t Swift next summer so that seems ruled out as well. As it never did more than 3 a year
