Restrictions seem to be associated with taxiway works at SNN, taxiway A being out of service for next couple of weeks for repairs. This necessitates non-standard taxi routes and backtracking of the runway if landing on 24.
Still diverting from SNN this morning. LRA and LRH have diverted to DUB because of fog. Going to be messy there this morning. Virtually all the aircraft are out of place for today’s departures.
Both of those A321Ns are due to position back to SNN during the morning once fog has lifted but the early departures were cancelled.
Another flight MAN-SNN gone to cork too.
I note FR892 Manchester to Knock is diverting to Belfast it appears.
What's going on with this one?
Holding for Shannon.
RYR9DD headed for Shannon, see how they get on.
looks like heading to Kerry or Cork.
Is this UPS plane doing a go-around?
The reason I ask is that I thought that part of the controversy over the north runway (10R?) is the 30deg right turn planes make after takeoff as the go-around is north of the airport, instead of south of the airport (like the UPS plan route). The given reason for going north side is to keep away from Weston and Baldonnell airspaces.
Ended up diverting to Prestwick of all places.
The 30-degree turn is to ensure separation from 28L go-arounds. As shown, the 28L go-around is straight ahead until ATC issues further instructions. As a rule, a left-hand pattern is flown, no doubt to keep the aircraft away from 28R departures.
Probably a troop stopover, they've specific airports they prefer to go to AFAIK
I presume they are evacuating Brits. Erratic flight path
Lots of evacuation flights from many different nations at the moment. 2 mexican 737s came back via Shannon today.
Track looks more like an FR24 glitch in an area with limited coverage.
He was overtaking those other planes 😂
I was trying to work out what G-PDGT was up to at a very low altitude around the foot of Three-Rock.
From what I can tell it's a power-line survey as G-PDGT is registered to PGD Aviation (in Scotland) with a hangar here in Dublin, but they have a Flir-Polytech Corona 350III camera listed on their site for performing thermal imaging and the flight-path is roughly following the path of the power-lines from Carrickmines to Allenwood in Kildare.
Checking wind turbines ??
No, he has been mapping the seabed now for months. Think it's reg'd as BI07 or BI08.
This just flew over head. Too cloudy to see but some sound
Ryanair flight from Knock running a bit late surprised they were able to take off as I thought Knock airport closed at night time.
Three prop aircraft (or three passes of the same aircraft) passed over South Tipp this morning between 5 and 6 am. Nothing on Flightradar or ADS-B exchnage
C-2 Greyhound operating from the USS Ford carrier in the Eastern Med.
(I'm assuming the carrier isn't where the track starts)
I was looking at the East Coast of the USA. No transponders visible for the Eisenhower group off the coast of Virginia.
I'd guess that the carrier was within a few km's of where the track started alright. Most if not all US army/navy aircraft disable their ADSB transponders just a couple of km's from the landing/take-off field.
2 mexican military 737s heading to shannon from Antalya in Turkey....
Many circling approaching TLV at the moment, this one over West Bank
Perhaps this is why there’s so many planes (including a NATO one) circling?
Evacuation of Mexican nationals from Israel
Heard an unusual hum of a plane about a half ago. This was what it was.
Straight line of airliners !
