A place to record your everlasting wait on a chair or (lucky you) trolley. Own recent experience, SVUH ED on a chair 17 hours from midday Saturday to 7am Sunday, breakfast bags distributed. Already on IV antibiotics etc. Upgraded to a trolley from about 8am to 4pm up in surgical bay. About 4.30pm transferred to a bed,…

what can you expect.
if you have to go to a+e you're in for 20+ hrs wait, thats just how it is and nobody should be surprised.
i myself have been sat in a+e for such a duration, then got some 20 mins attention from an overworked doctor, and a boot out the door.
you can prioritize this area of the system, or that area of the system, theres never going to be enough to go around. if its not hospitals it will be something else thats a disgrace.
