I hope the "cold case reviewers" take another long, cold unbiassed look at the strange evidence of the lady shopkeeper who first phoned into Crimecall, and later identified herself, as seeing someone washing their hands in a stream down on the main road that night.
Her passenger (who might have corroborated this story) has never been publicly identified.

If you interviewed the good Maria, and put a little pressure on her, maybe wave another carrot in front of her, drop a few more Family criminal charges... I'm sure she'd place Elvis by the bridge that night washing his hands...
She might even get the invisible man to sign an affidavit confirming the same... (Obviously he couldn't be interviewed in person as he resides on Planet Fantasy many light years away...)

I reckon it's Bailey. He has not been contacted. I'd say his contact will be an arrest.
That would make sense. It could be that someone who was covering for him or someone else has come forward with the truth. It would be pointless interviewing Bailey, put the evidence to him when he's arrested.

Unless they have matched some previously unmatched DNA which there is no legitimate cause to have been there, I can't see it being solved.
It wouldn't be the first time there's been a newspaper article promising a breakthrough only for it to turn out to have no substance to the story.
How do you know there was no legitimate cause for Dna to be there? They may have a more sensitive dna test. It could have been there but not picked up
If there's a legitimate reason for DNA to be found somewhere then there may be a perfectly innocent reason for it being there and it is not much use as evidence of any wrongdoing
If there isn't any legitimate reason for DNA to be found somewhere then it may identify a suspect and provide evidence against them.
Realistically, there is better paper flushed down the toilet than used to print on by the Sun newspaper...

They will not warn him or put him on his guard by talking to him. If it's him they will put their case together and then strike. If he is arrested again they have to charge him.

If someone is arrested a third time they HAVE to be charged. It's the law. Not learnt much law in 30 years have you?
If he is the suspect he won't be made aware until they are ready to arrest charge.

Newspapers have been writing about new leads in this case for years. Nothing ever comes of them though - it just sells papers or makes people click into the story - thats all it is Im afraid. Another case of nothing to see here folks!
Some people on here seem to think the gardai are keeping the Sun newspaper informed on every move in this murder investigation - think now how plausible that is. Its laughable that some people actually believe what a journalist types is fact.
If you're looking for some honest facts then The Sun should be the last place anyone would turn to. Plus if AGS were to discreetly release any details about finally cracking the case, it is unlikely to be to some British toilet roll.
This case will probably never be solved mainly because of incompetence by AGS. Potentially, the only way this will be solved is through a confession.
I agree, the case will probably never be solved and the sun doesn't have a clue. This doesn't change the fact that these stories are making Bailey and his supporters very worried. You can see it by Bailey's actions.
Given your three posts claiming it today, what actions of Bailey make him look very worried now?
