Buzzing for this. The two real kings of UK guitar music in the 90s, both still tearing it up doing long, deep dive shows and releasing great albums.
Both playing for 75 minutes with Suede closing out the night.
Have never been to a gig in Trinity before, what's it like?
Trinity is a lovely venue, holds about 5K
i think gig is actually 2nd July
Ah right you are, edited!
@scruff monkey and @Seathrun66 will be happy with this news.
YEE HAW! Gig of the year locked in already. Cannot wait for this. Missed Suede on their last trip to Ireland. Won't be missing this one. See you at the front!
The Manics are excellent live. Very tempted to head up to Dublin for this. Location suits as well....for a change!
Had seen that man, excellent news thanks.
there was instant gusset frothing.
i may try to catch a uk and the trinity show, signed up for both pre-sale urls.
30th anniversary of holy bible as well.......... that's a very tempting gig, I feel like I should know suede but I'm drawing a blank.
Give Dog Man Star a lash, start to finish.
They did the holy bible in full for the 20th, it'll be a mix of what ever singles they have off the album being worked on and scattering of greatest hits.
It's not a happy day out album.
For Suede newbies, all you need is the Singles collection, every show has a couple of new'ish and then it's wall to wall classics, they never disappoint.
New year Manics plan to release the 20th Anniversary of Lifeblood so one or two from that album might appear.
Well that was easy - 2 tix at €59 each secured with no messing whatsoever - all very civilised!
That's the first time in years I've seen a ticket price and thought "that's reasonable" 😋
Yep. Seem to be plenty available on the artist presale.

That's a great price for those 2 bands. Really looking forward to this one.
cheers, I signed up for the presale on mcd the other day but got nothing today, checked spam too.
They are €67.40 with the fees, I reckon they will sell out fast at that price. Combined with the fact there are no seats, i.e. crap seats can take a while longer to sell out.
No code, No deluxe standing in deluxe standing zone, No platinum package, No diamond package, No 20000 waiting list and let's be honest 34 quid to see Suede and 34 quid for Manics.
That was a nice pleasant ticket buying experience.
Standing though with my knees might be difficult but ill give it a chance.
The MCD presale is actually tomorrow, so they may not have forgotten you! No need to wait though 😋
Tickets secured on pre sale. Really looking forward to this.
Seen the Manics twice in the Olympia. I know the Holy Bible is the Holy Grail for many people but it was always This Is My Truth for me. Was 10 the year it was released and reminds me of halcyon sunny days with my childhood best friend.
We wouldn't have understood the political sub text at the time but he is now a committed socialist.
Not listened to Suede in depth so will have to give them a deep dive but always loved the few singles I have heard.
Just picked up a ticket - first stand alone gig booked for '24
Wow, brilliant. haven't seen suede since Dublin castle gig in the 90s sometime!
according to Setlist.fm, it was May 4th 97, first time I saw them live.
I was also at the Dublin Castle gig. They did a signing in HMV either earlier that day, or possibly the day before.
It was the same day - I was at both 😀
Never seen suede so looking forward to it.
seen manics twice and love them
My booking information gives me the impression The Manics will close the night in Dublin, I guess they are alternating slots on the tour.
Can't wait either way, after this summer having Blur and Pulp gigs outdoors in the sun, more Brit-Pop nostalgia is welcomed.
Both those acts would strongly reject that label
Suede closing out Dublin, Leeds and London as per press release issued with the tour announcement
