That does not change the fact that no matter which Country it is, mud makes normal travel impossible. I've driven truck-trailers on the ice and snow in Russia and the Balkans ( chains for the snow, but they are worse than useless on the ice.) and in the mud in Liberia. A two day summer trip between Monrovia and Harper in the Summer, may take 2 -3 months in the rainy season. The mud is the problem. You can drive on the ice or snow. But Standard travel equipment in Liberia include a chainsaw, axes, chains, pulley block and tackle or a good winch. But yes it can be done, but only up to a point. I've seen big rigid trucks and trailers buried up to their roofs in Liberian mud holes. See pic, and bear in mind, this was only at the start of the wet season, and while difficult, the roads were still passable. A week later, that section was completely impassible and remained so for several months. Of course, the fighting in Ukraine did not stop, it just changed, but that was it, it never stops. We will have to see how Putin's latest conscripts will work out, he is already feeling the effects of a shortage of experienced troops.
As expected from FIFA they have lifted the blanket ban on Russia taking part in international football events for all under 17s saying it's wrong to punish children for what adults are doing, and at the same time last year forced the Ukrainian football team to remove a map of Ukraine including Crimea from their jerseys as it was claimed they were making a political statement

There's many trying to belittle what Ukrainian people are suffering with this. Not to mention the Russian hit teams deployed around the world for Putin.
The opportunity was or is there to really stick it to Russians for what they allow in their country and now outside their borders and now you've people or organisations wanting to take the foot off the throat to normalise all that Russia has done. The Russian people haven't suffered in anyway. The 250k dead soldiers have. But we're painted the picture from Russians that they're a cold uncaring people who wouldn't give a care of those soldiers. So themselves haven't by admission suffered.
It's wrong and too soon from Fifa. Damn glad to live in Ireland that would refuse to play a team from Russia at this stage.
The question will be what will FIFA do if we do refuse to play Russian teams,it would be interesting to see how many Russian teams Irish teams have played against in junior tournaments , I think the senior international team have played Russia less than 8 times ,
This is the number one thing hampering Ukrainian logistics and advances. The only way to stop this is sending more patriots and western fighter jets with long range air to air missile's.
Ukraine may have a bit of an artillery advantage but Russia has a massive air superiority advantage.
Also look how many airstrikes they've conducted around Kherson where there's no real risk either side advances. This is why Ukraine probed around here. It's drawn some of the Russian fire power away from where it's needed.
