Ah same here I was going to upgrade my watch as well for battery life, so I am locked into the Pro unfortunately. I do love the form factor of the 5 tho :(

Just off chat there with Three to see if their phones were network locked. Said they were and standard €100 total top up required to unlock.
But TBH I don't trust the numpties on the chat there at all. I also asked if it came with stock Android and not Threes custom firmware (which I dont think exists).

Fairly certain they take a pre-authorisation for the full amount and then once it has shipped, your card is charged.
Also, as with all retailers, you have to claim the buds directly from Google from this link.

My card payment just declined with AIB! Got no notifications and I suspect that its been flagged as fraudulent so its a non-runner until tomorrow.
And of course theres no operational support outside of business hours, despite the billions in profits.
I don't think they sell the LTE version here? I think that's why we didn't get the watch last year, they were giving away the LTE version in countries like Germany.
I'd say most people would be happy with the Bluetooth/WiFi version. That's what most smart watches are.
Don't believe any carrier in Ireland supports it. If you wanted an LTE one you'd have to look UK/Amazon. Amazon's pro is 50 euro cheaper actually at a perfect exchange rate.

Nice if them to finally offer Irish consumers the freebies but the specs are a little underwhelming.
Was hoping to jump to an 8 from my Oppo X5 Pro but maybe not...
We've had freebies for a few years. It was only last year we missed out.
Went with the standard 8 as I prefer smaller phones and opted for the watch for the extra 170
I didn't bother going with the 256GB model as I never use the internal storage and have 200gb drive storage anyway
Looks like Three do need a top-up of at least 100 yoyo's on prepay before unlocking
