TUS Moylish to Crescent Shopping Center

Is there no direct bus between Dooradoyle/Crescent shopping center and LIT up in Caherdavin? Google Maps just says get a bus into town then a bus out to Dooradoyle but that takes an hour, any better way of doing it? A bike is 20 minutes on a good day but just wondering for days where its a complete washout.

You'd think they'd have something for all the students/Raheen Ind Est workers.

Changing is part of any transport network. Plenty of Londoners have to change from one line to another on the tube, same with New Yorkers and the subway. We can't all have a bus outside our door that happens to go directly to our destination.

The BusConnects plan should make transfers from one bus to another a lot more seamless and you won't have to pay twice if you do it within 90 mins.

The 304A wasn't discontinued, but it didn't come from Moylish either - it originates in UL.

You cant compare a city on the scale of London with Limerick. Surely an orbital route from UL to Moylish and on to Raheen/Dooradoyle then to Roxboro and Parkway would be ideal for a small city like Limerick. Don't understand why everything has to go through the centre of the city when the majority of student/commercial activity is in the suburbs.

My Wife used to get it in the Morning to work from Thomondgate to Raheen it was an express only stopped in sarsfield street the hospital then Raheen industrial estate. she would get the bus at 7:20 and be in the industrial estate for 7:40

It would be hard to do an orbital route that goes from Moylish to UL without going somewhere near the centre. You'd have to go as far as the Abbey Bridge/Absolute Hotel and at that point you'd be so bogged down in traffic, you may as well go all the way into Arthur's Quay.

The NTA isn't proposing any orbital routes for Limerick as part of BusConnects. I do think a bus along the Childers Road (originally a ring road) would benefit a lot going between our two largest suburbs but I can't see it happening.

Not sure what route number that was, as it does not appear on any Bus Eireann maps from 2022 etc but it wasn't the 304A which like the 304 goes between UL and Raheen albeit on slightly different routes, the A being more direct
