First official look. More to come on October 4.
When you search Pixel 8, the result below comes up.
Nothing on the store yet, of course. https://store.google.com/ie/?hl=en-US
https://pixel.withgoogle.com/Pixel_8_Pro/get-to-know-your-hardware is another link that comes up too, but it just spins out.
Cant see the phone doing too well if the rumoured prices are true

If that is the price then they better have a freebie included.
The pricing is an absolute joke!
Just like the price jump when they moved from Nexus to Pixel, they will alienate a lot of their potential audience by crossing that 1,000 quid barrier on the lowest storage Pro version!
When can we expect reviews, October 4 or perhaps the Friday?
US prices leaked, 8 starts at $699 and Pro $899. UK prices are rumoured to be £699 and £999 so yeah looks like we'll be getting screwed with the prices

Raising the prices in EU is a really bad move, Apple actually reduced their new iPhone prices this year
Bet we get screwed in Ireland with no Pixel Watch 2 for free with a Pro preorder too
Seems 3 will be able to get it you by Oct 12th.

No pre-order announced by vodafone. Pixel 7 pro id showing at 249 for 60 per month on bill pay
Keep thinking it's Friday for this, when it's Wednesday.
Confirmed to have an optical fingerprint again and not ultrasonic, also leaked benchmarks have it on par with the Snapdragon Gen 1.
If it turns out to be confirmed then I hope its improved. Its still a bugbear of mine.
I'm also disappointed that the 8 is going to be marginally smaller than the 7, which was also smaller than the 6.
I found the width of the 6 was ideal for reading text and webpage formatting.
If the price hikes also turn out to be true, there better be a damn good bonus offer on release day.
It's pretty much confirmed from all the leaks today, lots of pics/vids on his twitter
Had my P6P stolen last month and I've been waiting for this tomorrow.
Still don't think I can justify it unless the Watch2 is included.
Is there likely to be any demand, if trying to offload the Pixel 2 watch (if included)?
Is there a launch event planned this evening or will it just go live on the store?
I didn't get a P7 at launch last year, but from memory with the P6, pre-ordering on the Google Store started after the launch event, with phones then being shipped about a week later.
The Made By Google event is at 3pm our time. Looking at the Irish google store you'd be forgiven for thinking nothing is happening but other countries stores has a countdown clock.
10am Eastern time, 3pm for us.
Quite ironic given the European HQ for Google is in Dublin.
They only care about our tax rates…
Not in the market for an upgrade but looking forward to see how much we get screwed here. If they were giving away the Pixel Watch 3 with the 9 next year I could be tempted but I'd say Ireland is permanently off the list of countries for those deals now.
We got utterly shafted last year when we weren't offered the promotion so I'd be absolutely shocked if we got the Pixel Watch 2 with a pre order this year.
This year's Pixel looks very similar to last year's so not sure upgrading from the 7 Pro to the 8 Pro will be worth it with price increase.
I'm curious what if any the offer will be. I've a now "out of date" slash "eol" pixel 5. The rumored 7 years of updates does appeal.
Any chance google will further reduce the 6a?
Pre orders up now

Starting price of €1099 for the Pro confirmed. Ouch. Looks like the watch comes free with it though.
Ouch, think I'll hold on to my current phone a bit longer.
Those prices were rumoured, and I didn't believe them. Crazy prices, even with the gifts.
