Its immediate.
Weird, i got this email about 3 weeks ago. It's still taking money out of my account and subscription is working fine.
got the email this morning too. Was nice while it lasted.
any recommendations for cheap alternatives?
Still going for me, N26 card seems to work well.
Youtube music is free with Youtube Premium.
Staying clear of Spotify. No Neil, no Joni, no party.
I’m N26 too. Last payment went through fine on Aug. 29th, but not today.
It stopped working immediately too. Mail came in this morning, no tidal since
my next payment is due to go through in the next few days, fingers crossed.
Mine ran out on Tuesday and I can't stream but I can still play the downloaded playlist I have for in the car, might stop once it signs me out of the app though.
Signed up for UAE, but oddly, the pricing was showing as RON (Romanian currency) despite my VPN definitely being set to UAE (Dubai to be precise)
payment went though fine, and I was charged 4 RON to extend my free trial to 60 days from the usual 30. The charge came though as €0.81
after the 60 days, the usual charge of 23.99 RON takes effect, a little less than €5 at current rates
Actually, despite what my VPN said, it appears it is the Romanian Tidal I signed up to. I thought it might have been one of those issues where the wrong currencies was being displayed, as the RON and the UAE Dirham are both around 4-5 to the euro.
anyway, I’ll see how it goes over the coming months, hopefully it lasts…
Looks like my tidal has gone, money was due to be taken today but hasn't left my account and just tried to play something and it said I don't have an active subscription. :(
Just gone here too. If Spotify got themselves in gear, I'd leave Tidal.
..
You can do Spotify via Turkey, about 1.40 for an individual plan. Deezer is 80c
Yep. Got the email, subscription cancelled.
I’m gone too - their amount of Argentinian subscribers must have halved overnight!
😁
It was good while it lasted !!!
I tried moving to Deezer, via Argentina and Turkey accounts, but they are not accepting the revolut card. So they must all be blocking based on the region of the card being used. I wonder is it possible to get an online disposable card for the country in question?
Might also try the Qobuz and Pandora streaming services to see if it vpn trick works with them.
I've moved over to YouTube music, a family subscription through Ukraine is less than 4e a month and you can add up to 5 others.
€17.99 per month through Ireland.
Got used to YouTube music now. Its fine. Plays music. Prefer Tidal but ho hum.
Hi, I take it you needed to set-up a new gmail address that has its location set to Ukraine to get this to work
No I just signed up for YT premium using an existing YT account, used Nord VPN and paid with a BOI visa debit card.
Worked no problem, express VPN would not work for me, was giving me the UK price.
Pretty sure I read somewhere that the restrictions have been relaxed if you go through Ukraine because there are so many Ukrainians living in Ireland and across Europe now.
I had to do the disney plus trick to get deezer to work but that was months ago
Yeah it's crap but better than nothing. On the plus side, podcasts are coming to YouTube music before the end of the year.
If they overhaul the UI it could be great.
Tried deezer last night through turkey and got as far as the payment page but it declined every card (4) I tried.
I’m looking to 2 more family members to join a Spotify family if that is of interest to you?
Cheers but I actually have tidal working via UAE.
Ah ok! I thought you were using yt music.
count me in please
I'd also be interested
I'm also looking to join a Tidal HiFi plus family if anyone has a spare slot.
