It's a fact though.
But they are not the only ones who do it most countries who are major defence players limit what and what you can't do with their systems you have paid a high price for ,
To me that's like you buying a fast car or high end car and if they manufacture decides you have broken the speed limit they can come and take the car back despite it already being paid for in full
Ukraine could badly do with all that abandoned kit, pity.
Only in the depths of Russian propaganda.
It was a vetting fuckup by the Canadians and everyone knows that.
Ukrainian POW at sham trial
Dont join the little list of Germany doubters in this thread. They did the same thing earlier, threw a lot of shade Germanys way only to grumble and quietly disappear as Germany rolled in the Leopards, Gepards, Panzerhaubitzen, Marders, etc.
No mention of how wrong they were. No dignified confession. Poor sports.
People were critical and yet appreciated when things did start to change slowly with Germany's support and they have stepped up a quite a bit, off course they and others are in a position to do more to end this invasion quicker. What was your previous username? Just so we know what discussions was already had with you.
Since you are "new" to the thread you probably don't remember when Germany were too afraid to send anything other then helmets.
😂😂😂
I thought that was a statue at first
Why would you support Ukraine yet disrespect one of their top supporters? It makes no sense.
Will certainly give them credit for their transfer programme early on. Provided much needed Soviet type equipment and analogues in the early period.
Who did I disrespect?
Abit like a skinny scholz
Awful demanding already aren't you
Peoples’ memories ‘ are quite short. Do the young Israelites think / have the same attitude as the older generation? . Do the youth of Russia think the same as the older Russians? . SF during the troubles would have got circa 1% of the vote in the south now it’s at circa 40%. For the same reason the younger Swiss might have a change in attitude as they reach voting age. VERY LITTLE , IF ANYTHING, remains the same in the longterm
The Canadian speaker when introducing that guy Hunka introduced him as the one fighting for Ukrainian independence against the Russians. Anyone who knows Ukrainian history and I hope Zelenskiy is one of them knows very well on what side such people fought their war so he knew exactly who he was applauding to.
Hunka is a hero for Ukrainian nationalists and there are plenty of them in Ukraine especially in the West of Ukraine. Many there are disappointed Wehrmacht didn't succeed during WW2 as they firmly believe it would have given them independence.
The 5000 helmets were part of a request for 100,000 individual helmet and body armour kits. It seems like 28,000 are being used presently by Ukraine.
- Sealion. Arf arf .
It's not correct to generalise or assume that Ukrainians who resisted Russian occupation before, during and after WW2 were automatically Nazis. While there were those who collaborated with the Axis powers (others were conscripted) there were also those who fought against the Nazi's (and the Russians)
Due to that history, everyone, including Zelensky, would have assumed that the guy was vetted beforehand. He wasn't because someone fucked up, which was found out after the fact.
Well, I am not going to argue with you who assumed what but you are definitely not familiar with realities in Ukraine.
Have you seen any criticism in Ukrainian news in relation to what happened? Anyone appalled? No.
What we have however is this:
You'll need to google translate it as despite having ENG button they didn't bother translating this one.
The article is written by not just some journalists. One of them is Vice Rector of Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv.
It contains at least 4 historic lies all in attempt to clear the name of Galician SS despite the fact that all of Waffen-SS was declared a criminal organisation during Nuremberg trials.
The best bit however is:
"We desperately need to intensify educational activities regarding the "Galichyna" division, because any mention of it, despite a series of court decisions, immediately gives a green light to a series of speculations."
I am sure you are looking forward to the above mentioned activities.
Well, we all know Putin isn't fighting any Nazis cos he is bombing the wrong part of Ukraine most of the time to begin with and this is pure territory grabbing exercise but there are serious issues in some parts of Ukraine, not very compatible with EU values, I have to say.
The 3 day special operation might be done by 2025 according to Russia MOD
Why would there widespread criticism and shock in Ukraine? They are fighting a war for their survival, they have far, far, far bigger things to worry about the wrong veteran being mistakenly wheeled out by another country.
It's no big secret that countries have complex histories involving Axis powers (including Russia, who historically collaborated with the Nazis). We have our own history in that regard. The context of the situation is important.
That'd be funny.
So Irek..
Have you any favourite pastimes?
And here we have the cortege.. followed by the honourable Mick Wallace and Clare Daly. Followed by Donald Trump.
Don't worry though Austin Powers is on the case.
Aye, because nobody knows who the Russians fought against in WW2. Especially the Ukrainians. They wouldn’t have a clue.
"wrong veteran"? For Ukrainians (roughly half of them at least) it was the right veteran that was wheeled out hence the planned educational activities to educate us that we were wrong to make a fuss. Besides, knowing Poland's position on this subject, wouldn't have been wise to at least say something instead of being silent (Zelenskiy's position)? Is this because an apology to Poland would have upset the part of Ukraine where he has the least support and where the likes of Hunka are proper heroes?
As for complex histories, I agree but we openly admit that yes, this was wrong, that was wrong, etc. Ukraine seems to be moving in the opposite direction going by the above article since they feel there was nothing wrong with Galician SS and their activities. Btw, this is one of the subjects that has always divided the country into two camps, not just the language.
"Ukraine fatigue"
Now's the time to double down and hand the Russian dwarf his arse. The West must do more.
Things must be going really well for Ukraine judging by the sudden influx of new anti-Ukraine posters, they're as predictable as Swiss trains. Nice to see you folks, enjoy your stay.
CNN are now anti Ukraine 🤣
Some people....
