Time for another Storm Shadow.
This lot doesn't want to die
Zelensky should have a word with Israel, they like having the occasional sortie into Iran for demolition purposes. Israel is probably expecting Iranian drones to be used by its enemies anyway.
Unfortunately the Israelis have no love for the Ukrainians even if zelensky himself is Jewish, they could well look at it and say the drone are better Off going to Russia rather than us spending tens of millions shooting them down .
But Israel will do what Israel does and they won't be waiting for zelensky or Biden's calls
So the Russians are now building a new rail line and a 4 lane motorway along the South coast of Ukraine and will take the pressure off the frontline. It would no longer be catastrophic if Ukraine pushed the line forward 10 or 20km in the south. Now they'd need to push it forward 40 or 50km to make it a check mate situation.
Hopefully they continue making slow progress and someday next summer the picture will look a little better.
Switzerland now 2 for two blocking tanks to Ukraine and now voted to ban the re-export of weapons to Ukraine by a large enough majority.
Hardly new news's but we've seen this from day one ,
Great news this. Obviously the West will be closening ties with them but their real backer and insurance against Russia is China. Which is funny because Russia claims china and Russia are best friends.
Russia has a few territorial disputes with khazakstan but they're obviously not a threat while tied up in Ukraine. Before Russia targeted Ukraine fully there was the same bs rhetoric going about how khazakstan didn't exist and the land was a generous gift from the USSR. Could very easily have been them warring with Ukraine instead. Without close ties to China they are screwed.
Nope, it was Jinglejangle 69 who said that, post # 98903, not me. So you are disassociating yourself from Jingles comment? Unafraid hero. Bravo, Bravo. But begs the question, have you ever been close to any kind of military activity? Somehow or the other, I doubt it very much, because people who have had such experience generally have a very healthy respect and fear of such things.
Another attack on Kerch Bridge reported.
Also???
Was he something like 12 at the time.
It is kinda verging on parody.
Though as someone said about Trudeau, elect a clown , expect the Circus.
Reports that the drone factory in Tehran is ablaze.
I know Ukraine has asked about doing this, but chances are this could also be Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Israel. Neither are particularly happy with Iranian drone production and fine tuning they are working out in Ukraine.
There must be a lot of opposition to the Iranian regime and a lot of ordinary Iranians are pro west in outlook and especially when that young girl died in police custody and the Govtrying to defend it. So it’s not beyond the bounds of possibility that it was an inside job
Has it actually been confirmed to be a drone factory ??,seen this earlier already expecting any fires in Iran being wink wink nudge nudge linked to the Ukrainians
Fire but not Kerch Bridge
Not a glowing reference of NATO and it's perceived lack of ambition, this will go down well behind the scenes...
In geopolitics, as in life, you do not have to be perfect - you just need to be better than your enemies. Right now, NATO is not even directly confronting Russia and are still beating them and utterly stultifying Russian ambitions of westward expansion via military means for a generation.
At the moment, NATO's the main reason that Ukraine remains an independent state that retains control of most of its territory. To say that it's not functioning perfectly is to say that it's a collection of countries with different internal political concerns that aren't always compatible. Such is every alliance in history.
Have you got a link for that? The only thing I can find is a report of a new rail bridge close to Mariupol that will improve access to Mariupol, but won't do anything to help Melitopol or the rest of Kherson or Zaphorizhia oblasts.

Quite a misguided article, I feel.
NATO was never going to intervene directly in this conflict, much less so when a rabid Putin threatened nuclear war against anyone who did. They are a defensive alliance first and foremost, and direct intervention would have been counter productive on the grandest possible scale. We must remember that their political aspirations only came about after the Cold War when there wasn't a credible threat to their own member states. If anything the organisation is now reverting to type in the face of the risk of escalation.
In saying that, and without putting a single boot on the ground, NATO have in my mind clearly reminded potential adversaries of their position as the world's foremost military power. The feared Russian military has been reduced to conscripted farmers driving WWII era tanks. They have to hide their strategic bombers under car tyres and berth their navy miles away from the action. All of this humiliation has been dished out by a hastily trained Ukraine using the spare equipment that NATO members found down the back of their collective couches.
Sure, there are issues with the availability of artillery, etc., but Russia, and indeed China, surely now appreciate that any direct confrontation with an actual NATO force would not be a prolonged one. That is of itself a political victory.
Zelensky giving a Nazi a standing ovation in Canada would probably leave a sour taste in their mouths.
He was 18/19 when the 14th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS - also known as the Galicia Division was formed in 1943
What air defence is doing?
Russian ad shot their own plane. This was reported last night, but still no other videos or confirmation of what kind of plane. tokmak area
Bore off. You know the explanation and ignore it in favour of childish jibes. In a way it's kind of amusing.
The explanation is about as believable as Santa Claus.
The only language the Swiss really understand is that of Money. They need to feel the cold wind of withdrawal of deposits and trade with their European neighbours and that is what will realign their priorities.
The biggest difficulty there is people like their secrets and tax avoidance, don't think people will be queuing up support such a measure,
We also have to respect the right of states not go get involved in other peoples wars especially when they have maintained historical neutrality,
Fat chance of that happening.
I think your first point explains why it won't happen.
On the second point, if you don't want to get "involved" in other people's wars, don't set yourself up as a major arms supplier. No one is asking for Swiss boots on the ground, but they supply weapons. If one of the countries directly in receipt of their weapons was attacked, by that logic they'd be involved.
Currently in Moscow the Taliban are on an official state visit,
I wonder if Putins is planning to buy some western military equipment from them being they are sitting tens of billions worth of western military gear
Indeed there is absolutely no point in any state buying weapons or armaments from the Swiss if they are going to dictate how they should be used. Cut all such contracts with them.
