The Ukrainians have warned that they will respond in kind, to any attacks on their grid this winter.

It will be interesting to see if this deters Putin this year. Apart from the occasional airport closure, the residents of Moscow and St. Petersburg have been largely unaffected by the invasion up to now. Ukraine have shown that they can hit targets as far away as Moscow. If the lights start going out in Moscow, people will start to question if Putin is actually strong enough protect them.
You'd think that the energy infrastructure in Russia would be perfect targets for elite, trained saboteurs?? Could do a lot of damage from the ground without need to resort to drones/ missiles and contend with Russian air defences.
Small ask, but if you press enter, go to a new line when pasting in your Twitter link, it should automatically convert it to an embedded tweet, thus allowing easy reading. Your wordy links make it hard to parse & I can't always open the tweet thanks to Idiot Musk's mecrurial running of things now.
Hard to know when that took place. You'd imagine if that was new footage he'd have actually mentioned something about the strike. Ukranian intel may very well have been mistaken but there's nothing in the videos supplied by Russia so far that shows beyond a doubt that he survived. It would be incredibly easy to do this and you' think they'd jump at the opportunity but they haven't so far.
We also have to take into account Russia's completely accidental and fleeting relationship with the truth.
He was a spritely 89.
This guy will easily be beyond 100 or dead before any extradition process is complete.
Begs the question though, what did he think himself he was being brought into parliament for.
Since Twitter became X most links seem to be forbidden. I almost always get "Site's 'x.com' robots.txt did not allow access to the url." You have to go to the page in question and paste the link from the address bar.
If he indeed is guilty of his alleged crimes, likely he killed people hus current age and older. No statute of limitations on his crimes.
twitter.com embed works fine; it's just x.com that hasn't been accommodated yet. See, works fine here: I just pasted in the tweet, pressed enter (this is on Desktop)
There is limitations on who can be prosecuted though.
Uh? I go to the 'copy link' button on the right but it don't work when I paste the link.
Also some comments saying that the interview seems to be taking place in the Black Sea Fleet HQ. Which would almost certainly make this old if that's the case. As that building, yaknow, doesn't really exist anymore.
Not in Germany or USA. See: Demjanjuk (among many others)
@pixelburp "this is on Desktop"
Sorry but I have no idea what you are talking about. What do you mean desktop? Is that some kind of hypercapitalist invention that's trying to devour people - as the internet is wont to do?
I simply cannot believe the utter stupidity of the Canadians!
Didn't anyone there consider the optics of bringing out a former SS soldier in front of a Jewish President,Who's country is being invaded on the pretext of being Denazified?
You really couldn't make this up,and of course it's rocket fuel to the Pro Russian fraternity and adds to their Ukrainian Nazi rhetoric!
It's highly damaging.
Heads need to roll for this.
As in: I don't know if you're using Boards via a laptop, Mac or PC (Desktop), or via your smart-phone; either way. If you copy the URL of a given Tweet, and just paste it into the Leave a Comment box then press enter on your keyboard, it should just automatically turn it into those embeded versions you see. I recorded a video to explain it but I can't attach .mov files and am too lazy to use Dropbox lol.
.mov
It's not a big thing if you can't work it out; just makes it a bit tedious given you tend to share a lot of Tweets, and clicking through is a pain given if you're not logged into Twitter, it'll often prevent you from viewing the Tweet.
Assuming the above post is not in jest, pixelburp meant on a PC, which could be either a laptop or a computer that's not portable. In the old days, these computers sat atop a desk and were flat, hence 'desktop'. It would have been normal to have the screen (big CRT) on top of the computer. They soon morphed into upright (tower) designs and now live under the desk, but have retained their original name.
If you access Boards on an internet browser running on a PC, you will see different options/layout than on a phone/tablet.
Hersh well and truly down the rabbit hole.
I'd worry that poland will overdo the defence spending , and its not just purchases , theres got to be a lot spent on personnel, training , maintenance and upgrades, as well ammunition/ command and control , buildings ect
And risk wrecking their economy ,
So either they'll start downscaling or cancelling projects or make the country vulnerable by having a huge underpaid military, and a broke population,
Another day, more reports of systematic abuses by Russian troops. Horrific as always.
There is ya.
As I said above, PC gone mad
I remember when the Ukrainians first started accusing it was jumped on by obvious bad faith actors who tried to discredit it as propaganda.
Now the UN has established it as fact.
Of course, no concern will be expressed by those same both siders (which in effect is pro-Russian).
The moral and intellectual bankruptcy of such "both siders" is undeniable.
Why are the likes of Wallace and Daly not taken to task a bit more on these things as they are verified?
When stories first emerge, they are the first to try to discredit them or both sides them... and yet when the full extent of Russian atrocities and war crimes are established they are nowhere to be seen. Pro-Russian propaganda is all they have, they have no real concern for the victims.
Very interesting, One paragraph stands out ( at least to me...)
" One of the police officers who wrote up dissident Pavel Litvinov that day uttered a phrase that would go down in history: “You fool—if you’d stayed at home, you’d have lived a peaceful life.” That’s exactly the message the authorities today are sending people." And that just about says it all in Putin's Russia. Shut up, don't rock the boat, or you will find out just how hard your life can get.
Thanks. But I'm still in the dark. Pixelburp pastes a link and it works. I paste a link and it doesn't work. I'm bewildered. Utterly. (I'm on an ordinary pc desktop)
This here is the arrow for Copy Link I'm using-
Note that in both cases, the statute of limitations on their alleged crimes was still in effect, but separately they were deemed incompetent. Had they been deemed competent, they would've stood trial, like Demjanjuk. Likewise, similar events may play out for this guy. He's not excused from his alleged criminality due to age.
Another question the Canadian authorities should be asking is whether he lied his way into Canada.
Stopped working for me a while back. I use the insert media button (beside the emoji and upload image buttons) now and paste the link from the address bar in there. Works fine with that.
Seems he's Alive new video.
Wagner not having a good year. From the crash a few days ago.
